The sand and the water are stunning, there's plenty of space and sand and a friendly Auntie selling drinks and snacks. Water was amazing to swim in, sand was lovely underfoot.

Beware of the monkeys though, don't leave food or drinks lying around as these little guys are the worst pickpockets in Langkawi! They will go through your backpacks and handbags!

Beras Basah was the last stop on our 3 island tour. The main feature is the beach area, with soft white sand and fairly clear water, when you compare it to Pantai Cenang on Langkawi Island.

Pros: nice white sand, with little litter, and only some natural debris; the relatively warm, clear water, relatively small crowd of people, since you have to take a boat to get there. Didn't partake in the concessions on the island, so can't comment on quality or value.

Cons: No toilet facilities (some were seen making their own), limited places to go on the island, there are monkeys that are conditioned to human beings. They are not afraid of you, unless you are aggressive first (make yourself big). They will take your stuff if you are not careful.

There were some interesting butterflies flying around, and you are near tropical forest and standing water, so beware the mosquitoes!

Would I recommend it, yes, for the few US dollars it takes to go on the 3 island hopping tour, it was a nice place to take a dip in the water. Bring a snack and a drink, but be watchful of the monkeys.

There's a right amount of crowd if you visit during the Ramadan month. Nicely spread crowd for a swim or just a tan on the beach. Hence, bring all the swimming/ snorkeling gears. Pls remember to steer clear of oily lotion and food for the fishes to help conserve the sea life!
Do be careful for the jelly fish as well! Bring some bags and vinegars/ coke just for precaution :D!

it is a beautiful beach, clear water, soft sand and scenic view, but there is not toilet and the most dangerous will be those wild monkey, tourist have to be careful while travelling there, it is advisable not to eat food in front of monkey, they are keep observing for those tourist which are having food, they will just attack and "rob" away the food.. be careful.
