I really enjoyed the cable car experience and would recommend it to others. The reason I did not give this a 5 star rating is because this place gets so busy from really early on in the day which pushed us to opt for the Express Lane option (which cost us 3 times the normal entry ticket price). Also, the Sky Bridge was out of order for maintenance which was a little disappointing but nonetheless, it was well worth it.

The Express Lane (RM 90 per person) give you immediate access to a cable car which means you don't have to line up (we went the day before but left when one of the employees told us that it was about a 2 hour wait to get to the top). You get a tour guide which made it all the more personable. We were really lucky with the weather - clear blue skies and not overly windy which made the view even better. The tour guide we had (I think his name is Hazril, was very nice and full of interesting information), really enhanced our cable car experience.

One thing to remember, as you get on the cable car, one of the staff will ask if you would like your photo taken just before the door shuts, I would say yes but the reason I am mentioning this is so you are prepared and make sure you give a good pose because as soon as you "land" at the base station, they will present you the photo they took in a snow globe and a fancy souvenir envelope thingy - the cost is RM 65 for these two things which seems like a bit of a rip off but I think its nice to have as a souvenir.

“Not to miss in Langkawi”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

Great place to go to... has 360 degree views of Langkawi and the sea around. Plan to go early else the queues are long. we had to wait for 40 mins to get on the cable car. But once on it the views are worth it.

Don;t miss seeing the seven walls waterfall near this place...its tough walk up the 700+ steps but once you get to the top...its really good.

“Don't go on Sundays”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Busy! So busy that we got there at 10am and was told the next "boarding pass" was for 3pm. Seemed like organised chaos. We had to put it down to being a Sunday with that wait time. So we managed to ask for a 5:30pm slot. Bit of ooh & ahhing from kiosk girl and she wrote 5:30pm boarding and told us to come back at 5pm straight to kiosk 1. Lucky for us our hotel The Berjaya is next door so a short 10mins walk and we sunbathed till 4pm. Back at 4:45 and we got our boarding cards and straight into a good 30mins que. think fair ground main attraction and weaving in and out. Lucky nearer you get if your in a 2 then they call you forward so we cut out about 15 mins que. otherwise great views. 30mr or £6 per person. We were not willing to pay 80rm earlier in day as woman said it would cut our wait time down to 2hrs instead of 5. We were up and down and back to our room within 3hrs.
Think Sunday busy as lots of families there (talking about 20+ per family) and like everybody a Sunday is usually time to do things with family and go places. Then again could be like that everyday. Just be prepared to que folks.
