When I travel, I ALWAYS have the lowest/no expectation at all when go to a new place or even if Im returning to a place I've been. It really helps when we are travelling.

So for this place, it was not part of our plan to visit here but since we were at Tg Rhu area, we decided to go. Not realising it is actually rare to see a natural saltwater hotspring in the middle of an island.

We didnt want to go for a full dip, so we took the RM15 ticket, which included a cultural show and hotspring entry.

The cultural show was in a hall, and there were performance of local Malay dances.
It was fun, and they even included the viewers to participate.

And then we walked to the hotspring area. There are 3 natural saltwater hot spring pools.

The 1st one was a bit of a dissapointment.
The water/well was murky and had sediments floating etc.
We just dipped our feet. The water was hot.

When we walked over to the second pool, they had just cleaned it. And a lot of moss was still floating, it didnt look great, so we skipped it.

The 3rd pool was perfect. It was shaded and the water was hot and clear.

It was advised that we shouldnt dip our feet in the water for more than 10mins.

There is also an observation deck over a paddy field.
The view is beautiful, but the deck area itself could be better. It was a bit rickety.
And I believe there were tourists who were irresponsible by throwing rubbish at the paddy fields.

The toilets were clean, so thats a plus point.

My group and I liked it, we would recommend it to others.

The hot springs are located very close to tg Rhu beach, so if you are in that area, it is worth a stopover. There is parking within the compound. To use the little gazebos around the hot water spring area to soak your feet is free. The hottest water enclosure is the one situated at the farthest end of the ponds.

The main well is the one that is in the middle, but it is closed up as the water that comes into it is too scalding hot for us normal human beings. We took the private units and complete with toilets, baths and even a gazebo to enjoy the natural ambience. Natural hot salted water is pumped from the "main house "into the Jacuzzis from the spring. One unit can accommodate a family and up to 8 persons. They also provide towels.
