A park located near the kuah town is a quiet getaway, good for a long walk in the morning or evening. The park is located along the beach shore full of greenery some shelters, benches to sit on and a long walk from kuah town takes you towards eagle square.
Its a picturesque maze for people who love nature. Taking a stroll here is like time has slowed down as you gaze at nature, quiet and subtle.
it is quite a large park in the kuah town, some traditional stone statues inside the park. And the road pattern i thought is tidy, but the road design may not be very good because it's like a big circle and walkers need to take long to the other half. Few people get inside, so one can enjoy his time with the trees, the flowers, the beach, etc..
This was probably a really lovely place when it was built but now it's shabby and was almost totally deserted when we took an hour to walk around it. Areas have fallen in to disrepair and it was a bit eerie. A shame as it has so much potential and loads of curios and information.
I'm not sure what to think of Kuah, we went on a Sunday, parked the scooter at the other side of legenda park and and walked through towards eagle square. The park was deserted other than people cutting the grass and sweeping up leaves. The gate at eagle square was locked so we sneaked through a hole in some hedging. The public toilets across from the gates were closed, the shopping arcades near the eagle were under construction and deserted and the ferry terminal was quiet.
Park its self was nice, and the beach was quite clean and picturesque.
Just very, very quiet...
Walked it through to visit eagle square.it is big and peaceful. Good jogging place. Nice shady place to spent time.
Serenity and Solitude is why I would recommend this place. Just a few hundred meters from Eagle Square, it is worth a visit if you are in this part of the island. It provides excellent views of the sunset and the eagle statue minus the crowds and the overbearing eagleness that is eagle square. There are benches facing the sea where you can rest and take in the sunset. There is a lovely avenue inside as well if you are looking for a walk. The legend of the island (read a large map), at the entrance is the let down I believe for this place. But once inside the park you may change your mind. Having said that, this is one of those attractions that may be given a miss. However if you are near Eagle Square you might as well drop by.
