The falls are nearly dry but the resulting drop in tourist numbers has allowed the monitors and monkeys to take over.
It's still very scenic but the lizard jumping out from right beside the path scared the s**t out of us.

Unfortunately, we went in early February, so most of the falls in Langkawi, including this one, had limited water volume. The entry is free, and you can walk up steps along the side of the falls, pausing at platforms in between. There is a pool near the top if you can make your way up all the way. It is probably good for swimming when the water is heavy, but looked muddy this time of year, although there were some die hards taking a dip.
The falls are neither high nor wide, so their appeal is limited, especially in the dry season. Also, the steps were often broken or sometimes non existent making for more of a trek than a walk. Good shoes are highly advised. Better maintenance of the walkway, and having some bridges across the falls to cross over to the other side would probably increase appeal.
If you are in Langkawi during the rainy season, probably not a bad spot to visit. Avoid in the dry season.

Travelled nearly 12 kilometers to see this waterfall but it was a mere thin stream.Make sure you go to visit only after or during the rains when it could look better.Said to be the highesr waterfall in Langkawi it did not look beautiful when we visited it.
Also the monkeys all around have to be watched for if you are carrying earables and poly bags.

During our visit, there wasn't much water in the stream.
Hence it didn't look that good.
Beware of the monkeys there..don't carry food bags.

You must visit this place for a great waterfall view and if you want to soak in nature. It is pretty quiet, although you'll get a good view only during the months after monsoon.

I visited the falls last two days ago and since rainy season is over I wasn't able to witness the strong gushing water from the falls. I bet this place will be amazing and magical during rainy season.
The only problem is, the management who is taking care of the falls should place more rubbish bin around the area as tourists tends to neglect the beauty of nature. I for myself grabbed a plastic bag and collected as much as I can. My friend and I passed by the cleaner and he was just sweeping the dried leaves. C'mon! You are supposed to do more than that!
