We travelled there in February 2012, stayed there for 3 days. Started with a hiccup with the airport pick up not arriving on time which made us wait for almost 30 mins in the airport. But post that everything went on like a breeze.

The rooms: The room that we had taken was mind blowing, with a sea view. The size of the room was mind boggling and the bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms were very spacious.

The Food: The restaurant was great but unfortunately the price was very expensive. Tip- take packaged food and have it for a meal, have the other meal in the restaurant. The complimentary breakfast is good. Use that to the fullest.

Activities: Cycling was great, but don't waste time on Iguana watching etc.

Overall a brilliant experience.

Room Tip: Book the older rooms with sea face. Try and book rooms on the upper floor.

We stayed here from 31st Aug till 4th Sept. We landed half an hour late but the placard in our name was there. The car took us to the jetty and we arrived at the island by speed boat in 15 minutes flat. Please note that there is no boat to take you to the island if you are at the jetty from 2.30 pm to 4.30pm so it is advisable that you arrive either before or after this time span.
We have booked 2 bed rooms and it was a wooden house with 4 such units. Rooms are spacious and airy. You do not need A/C all the time. Beach is easily accessible and only one minute walk from my room. Food at Senari is good with wide selection of Malay, Western and Indian delicacies. We loved the buffet at night. After dinner we loved the walk towards jetty and back. It is a very secured place for the family and we enjoyed every moment of it.
I will thank Maznu in house keeping. He made our visit very special by twice arranging bed and other things in our room in such a way that we were very touched. Thank you Maznu. Then the beautiful lady Whe Zhi at reception. Fadhleen at Senari. Then many more staff we could not recall. Thank you all. It is like a family visiting another family. I met Mr Sandeep, the Manager of the resort on our last night. The warmth we felt was truly amazing.
This resort is having many activities and equally good for couples and families. We sure are returning soon.

Room Tip: Boat timing. Otherwise you will waste time waiting for it.

The hotel/ resort was set in a perfect environment with a pretty marina and lovely natural setting. The greeting was fantastic and very welcoming. The hotel grounds and the rooms were worth the money - however this was cheaper than as advertised...... Therefore full price may have stretched my evaluation of the resort. Where the hotel fell down though was on the food quality which I thought was by far the worst food we had across Malaysia from hotels to street food. The menu although extensive was overpriced for it's quality. The other key issue was the price of all the facilities in the hotel with virtually £3 per game of pool when nobody played on it and 220ringit for jet skiing compared the better engine jet skis on the mainland that charged 150. Entertainment in the facility was also v poor and outdated, but if you want a pretty setting and a very chilled 3-4 days well worth a visit.

Thank you Shukri, Panthea and our chauffer Hamid who has made our stay comfortable. The Resort is off Langkawi Island. So please check the timetable before getting to the jetty or else you will be wasting time waiting for the next ride. Now there is only one small complaint, that is they should provide some other drinks than water to guests who are waiting at the jetty for the boat, like soda, coke or beer! to me, i would have paid for it on a hot and sunny day. Providing some magazine to us would be good as well. The chalet is huge and clean. there are 2 rooms in the chalet but there is only both of us. So we didn't get to use the other room. the chalet is for 4 pax, so please remember that. It is a standard garden room. Bottled water was generously supplied to us. rooms are extremely clean and squeeky, air cond is cold, TV is good, there is no complain about rooms.
Now, the lobby service is extremely good, friendly and professional. They make you feel like you are travelling on a 7 star tour. They sit you down on the couch and check in for you and bring you drinks. The SPA and massage, i must say its the best massage my wife and I have ever had. Its quite expensive to be honest for an hour's massage, but if you don't do SPA, you really have nothing much to do actually. you must try the Malay traditional massage. It'll cost you about RM300.00++ per hour. Coming to the food, well you are stuck on an island, so you will have to eat there and it's VERY VERY VERY expensive even if you compare to KL standards. I dare to say its more expensive than Shangrila Kota Kinabalu and Shangrila KL. You can go see for yourself. A fish and Chip will cost you about RM60.00 ++ . then there is the beers, I think if a resort wants to actually attract tourist, they should try to serve different type of beers. Langkawi is duty free! its supposed to be dirt cheap variety of beers. But they only have carlsberg, tiger, stout. Where are the Edingers, Franziskiners, hoegardens?

This is a lovely large property with something for everyone.
We had one of the big apartments which had 2 bed rooms, too big for just the 2 of us, but we didn't mind the extra space. The rooms were designed in a rustic manner, blending in perfectly with the surrounding nature. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach although not very large was well maintained and had great views. There was a lovely nature walk that we went for and got to see a lot of beautiful hornbills, which were great to spot. Food, drinks were great. There were outdoor, indoor and board games to keep us occupied too. Would definitely go back!
