The first impression once approaching the property from the exterior is good, and it is actually a 5mins drive from the airport, however once you step in, you realise that the bell porter who opened the door and assisted in carrying the luggage is also working as a receptionist! the property grounds are nice and simple yet need a bit more uptake especially at the beach side, rooms are nice and spacious however make sure to always check the cleanliness of the bedsheets! Strange how Starwood Group have kept their name on this property although it lacks a lot of the features that are typical of a starwood hotel

Four points hotel is best described as an "okay" hotel. close to the airport, and right on the beach. First night I saw my bed sheets were covered in stains and black powder like substance. The next day I asked for them to be changed and they did but still covered in stains.

Pool and restaurant is nice, with nice food at an average price for hotel. $25 for breakfast, $20 + for lunch and $20 -$50 for dinner. Staff and nice and friendly.

In the end it's a modern resort like hotel that hasn't been maintained and therefore is a bit worst for wear, it is not 5 star but maybe a 3.5 4 star.

Room Tip: Don't stay here unless you have no other option

The hotel has good amenities. Also very close to airport.
BUT....
Horrible service by the staffs. Things are not properly available in the room. If you call any service number from the room, be it reception / room service, no one picks up. Each time i had to call 3 or 4 times to reach somebody. Then they will promise to deliver the things but nothing will come. It happened to me with room towel, toothbrush, waterbottle and all the silly things (pardon me for sounding like that!)
Restaurant is over-priced. No food is delivered to the room.

This hotel has to be rated as Close Proximty to Airport , probably the only Hotel on the perimeters of the Airport ! It is that close but you will never hear the sounds of the planes .

I personally think any Hotel that carries a Starwood branding ( am a SPG member ) would have certain cleanliness standards to maintain but I think this Four Point seriously needs a Refurbishment . No doubt the rooms are huge , even the bathrooms are bigger than normal . The linens seriously needs looking into ! Certain parts of the rooms eg the ceiling boards shows signs of aging , even the bath fittings are not perfected to Starwood Standard . Staff politeness and helpfulness is good but not overly great . I spent 2 nights taking 2 connecting rooms for the kids to play with , should have stayed longer , damn ! The pool is immense but it is shallow . The kids play corner is a good idea but I did not use the gym next door . Breakfast is ample and tasty and with many F&B trainees on hand , my wife mentioned the omelette was fantastic ! Plenty of replenishments and varieties for breakfast , the kids had their full ! Overall I have no complaints except for the cleanliness or certain parts of the room and as well as the back portions of the ballroom with leaves and remnants of the functions sprawling . Probably the GM was lazing around enjoying a book by the pool to notice these shortcomings !

stayed in this hotel for 4D3N (2 until 5 Dec, in room 1226); what a bad idea and such a waste of money.. reason is I'm making this statements are;

1. when we arrived at night (9.30pm) and no one at the door to greet us or to take our luggage.. my wife is five month pregnant but still no assistant thru-out the check-in process to the room.. even the receptionist was not really warm with no greetings or welcome (she just do the check-in).. at least it smooth..

2. when we got into the room, there were no views, no towels, no slippers, no iron and no bathrobes.. we request all the above (except views) and they sent us two dirty towels.. I personally sent the towels back to the reception and they change it immediately with no apology..

3. this hotel is using New Bone porcelains for their Mugs.. Bone porcelains is prohibited for Halal Certification in Malaysia because the Mug was made from an animal bone (mostly swine bone).. please seek JAKIM's rectification about this New Bone Mug..

4. the room is very big (spacious) but empty with wardrobe's door is difficult to operate (spoil) and naked mini bar.. the air-conditioning unit is located far from the bed and behind the huge wardrobe.. this makes the room not really at the comfort temperature (for us personally)..

5. from that (first night) experiences I made a written complain thru the comment card but no respond or even a query from the receptionist (about our stay) when we check-out after 3 nights..

6. this hotel have no room service and every time they do room cleaning they cleared all as requested but they give no replacement for bathrobe and hand/face towel..

7. breakfast experience bad; staff reluctant to smile and from their face's expressions (we are burden) staff never do clearing between meals and we have to stacked our dirty plates at one side of the table.. staff only doing clearing once we finish..

at the beginning, we have high expectation for this hotel because it's a Sheraton (Starwood) product's.. due to that we made a confirmation with advance full payment but our experience said, it's really ridiculous hotel and that's really spoil our first time holiday in Langkawi..
