We were here for 3 nights in November 2013. The staff was helpful and all smiles. The breakfast was okay and enough varieties to cater almost everyone, although on the third day, we were tired of the selection.

Despite having Starwoods or Sheraton glued to its name, Four Points is not to be expected as full pledge Sheraton Hotel.

My family and i stayed there over the weekend for 3 nights. This place was formerly known as Langkasuka Beach Resort before it was re-branded and refurbish as Four Points Langkawi.

It was a mere 3 minutes drive from the airport. The location is strategic for a quiet getaway from the crowd, unlike other hotels in the island. Since it is Four Points, there is no bell service for your bags - you are on your own.

The room was spacious with a king sized bed. Extra bed and baby cot is available on demand. I've read the posts about this hotel and i can only say services are always available, its just a phone call away. Hotels tend to keep things 'lock' to avoid theft cases by guests. Thus, the ironing board is there but you have to request for the iron. The safe deposit box is locked so please call the reception to have it unlock for you to use.

They renovated the pool from a conservative pool with a bridge into an infinity pool of 4ft depth. Really breathtaking especially during sunset. Beach activities such as football (soccer) and volleyball is available for use. The beach is just beyond the pool. Besides the pool they have a mini-gym and a kids' club for children. Both room blocks have rams for prams (strollers), even the eatery (restaurant) is accessible.

There's even a convenient shop for you to buy stuff but with limited choices! MAKE SURE YOU BUY YOUR NEEDFUL BEFORE GOING THERE SINCE THERE IS NO SHOP NEARBY.

The food there has been treating us wonderfully. We can see the Exec Chef around from breakfast till dinner, i guess its to maintain standard of the items they serve. Breakfast buffet is wonderful with lotsa choices.

One thing for sure, they can do more cleaning around the resort. Walk way needs polishing. The bathroom needs scrubbing especially in the shower-cubic and there are 'repairs' that aren't concealed properly. The a/c is working fine especially for those who can't take the heat like us.

All in all, it was a great experience staying here. Not wonderful or perfect but just satisfying..
Don't expect too much merely its named as Sheraton or it carried Starwood brand. In the end its just another resort with fancy facilities..

First of all, I think Starwood group can do better than this. Maybe the hotel operator does not care about the service and maintenance since it is one of the budget line. However, this will only ruin guest confidence with starwood chain of hotels. I am a starwood preferred guest and The price I am paying for this hotel is not cheap. RM360++ including breakfast. Which we can get a better hotel in this island with the price I paid for.

Room is huge and empty. Maybe they should add more furniture or carpet to make the room more cozy. It feels cold and scary. Room is dirty... very dusty and a lot of ants. Ants everywhere, so if you do stay here, make sure you rinse your cup after you drink your coffee. The bathroom is huge, again... too big and scary. The air cond is making a lot of noise. Maintenance problem! I spent two nights here. There was one night with heavy rain and the metal roof is making so much noise until I cant sleep. No insulation at all.

Breakfast is horrible. I feel like being cheated for paying additional RM70++ for such a lousy breakfast. If you have to choose this hotel, maybe you should consider the no-breakfast room. Save the money and eat out

Swimming pool is huge. Only plus thing in this hotel. Nice pool with nice sea view. However, the beach is dirty! I think the staff never care to clean the beach at all. A lot of flies and other insects.

The hotel is located near the airport. You can't hear the any plane taking off or landing. Maybe is because the room itself is too noisy with air cond.

Staff service are poor. First, front desk takes quite some time to check-in for us. Then, it said our room will be ready after 3pm, where it was already 3pm. We went to the restaurant and wait. While waiting for our room at the restaurant, there is not a single server to greet us and ask us what would we like to order, not to mentioned about the menu. We sat there for almost 30mins and there are not server at all. We saw someone inside the restaurant but they just didn't care to serve us.

Overall, I will not recommend this hotel and I will not go back to this hotel. Unless the operator take some initiative to renovate the rooms and the roof.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel and if you really have to choose this one, stay at lower floor so you will not wake up by noisy metal roof if it rains.

Room condition, service, everything about this hotel is horrible.
I would never stay in this hotel again.
Doesn't make it to the name of Sheraton at all.
I would never bother to stay even they give us free night stay in here.

Stayed at the Four Points as part of a company trip. Two nights.

The good,
The hotel is situated very close to the Airport( short drive) and has some very large rooms. The one I stayed was very spacious even for a double room. Rooms are equipped with a safe (was not working ) ironing board (no Iron), Flat screen TV, Tea/Coffee, Electric kettle.

The hotel looks nice and simple and has all the necessities. 24 hour Gym, Pool, children's play room and a baby pool.

Breakfast was a mix of Asian and continental food and the spread was good. Staff friendly and helpful.

Had a large beach, but I don't think its suitable for swimming. Good view of the sunset, but no sunrise.

The areas to improve.
It seems this place was recently refurbished and to me did not meet the standards expected on par with the "Sheraton" brand. Having stayed at other Sheraton hotels, this place lacked the finesse.

The Room had a safe, but it was not functioning informed the front desk, they came to inspect and mentioned they will need to rest and we were never contacted to fix it. Not a great view from the room as ours was facing a picket fence and then a abandoned site

Had an ironing board, but the iron was missing. The bathroom did not have laundry bags, and only were provided after reminding housekeeping.

Shower head in the Bathroom (hand shower) had to be constantly screwed back (tightened).

The sliding door in the wardrobe had a place holder missing. In a friends room the AC control was hanging by the electrical wires

While all these were minor irritants I would not have expected these from a Sheraton hotel.

Can't comment on the price as this was arranged by the company. I would not mind staying again if the price point is competitive.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors facing the hotel should have a better view.
