“Feeling Lucky been upgraded”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

Overall stay is great they upgrade us, so much better from what we book,I value their service much appreciated, the staff front office they are good.
But room need to clean, I even need to wipe the table by myself, WOW the room was great and is a premier room, seaview, not bad.

Careful not to leave sweet things otherwise ants will come.
but need to clean and the cleanliness need to improve.

Suggest to book room either junior suite/ premier suite still not so bad.

I am happy with their services that's all
Not happy with the room cleanliness that's all.
Happy got good comfortable bed to sleep very very nice.

A big group of us checked into this hotel recently for work and had to spend 3 nights here. It was an utter disappointment not only for me but the rest of us! Here are my grievances:
1) Poor shower pressure
2) Absolutely puny shower gels nd it was enough fo a person less than 2 feet tall! C'mon guys! I requested for shower gel and it did not arrive!
3)First time there were mosquitoes in my room. others mentioned the same thing!
4) The rooms were hot!
5) Food sucked big time!
6) It's amazing when this hotel is close to the airport (many reputable airports provide shufftle services) and does not provide airport shuttle!
7) Not worth the price!
8) Breakfast states it starts at 6.30am but when we went to the restaurant it was not ready!
9)No complimentary mineral water!

Utterly disappointing.

The infinity pool is really wonderful, clean and at the right temperature. The view at the sunset is incredible! We would go back to this hotel just for the pool.
The beds were super comfortable.
The location was pretty convenient.

However...

-The whole facility has a warehouse feel, it's supposed to be modern (concrete walls, lots of white..) but it's cold
-All of the three rooms we booked smelled humidity
-One of the rooms was not very clean
-Management was absolutely rude: our reservations somehow got messed up (the types of room we booked were unavailable) and the guest service manager was rude, unapologetic and unprofessional
-Breakfast was not good
-Overall, staff was not friendly

This hotel was booked for us during a longer trip around Malaysia and was our last stop before going home. While reading the other reviews here for this hotel we where not too sure about it...but I have to say, better then expected!
Room was ready for use before official checking time and was spacious. Not luxe and a but boring perhaps but it had a separate douche and bath.
True, the pool is just 1,2m deep, but so what? The sea is less then hundred meters away... And the fact there is no lifeguard ...a sign tells you that pretty clearly!
We where presently surprised with breakfast choices, we certainly have had far worse during our trip...this had a decent amount of choices and was kept full all the time.
We where also surprised that it was this quiet if you consider we walked to the airport, as it is that close.
Taxi's are parked across the street so easy to get. We decided to rent a car as the hotel is not in a centre or so so you do need some sort of transport.
Hotel has free wifi in the rooms not in the public places like lobby... Better that than the other way around.
It took a little Lang before the ordered dinner arrived and as we where with the two of us, one almost finished the moan course while the other was still waiting ...not so nice... But next evening that was better...so it might be just a glitch.
All in all, decent hotel for short stopover, you need transport to get anywhere nice outside the hotel.

The main decision to choose this hotel was more for its proximity to the airport as we are returning from our trip to Ko Lipe and needed a place to stay to catch the next day flight back to KL. overall this no frills hotel did its job. I would be disappointed if the choice was for a holiday as it has little to offer in terms of ambience and character. Everything works though and it is not that bad but there are a few issues.

The rooms are large and comfortable and has the standard fare for a 4 star room. The bathroom amenities a bit basic. No toothbrush or toothpaste or shaving so you need to bring your own. The bathroom was large though and comes with both shower stall and a rain shower which was nice but pressure was a bit low. The bed was comfy no complains there. The balcony was adequate. There is a flat panel TV. The air con is a but noisy and if you are light sleeper that could be a problem. There is no room service and there is only one restaurant so the choice is limited if you don't have your own transport. There is nothing nearby so you will need to take a taxi virtually everywhere.

The pool is huge probably biggest for this class of hotel and certainly the biggest and best feature of the hotel. The gym is small but adequate for a quick workout.

Another plus is free wireless access with decent speed.

All in all it was okay if you are not fussy. This would make a great budget no frills hotel though.

We went there for 2 nights during Chinese New Year recently, booked for a Junior Suite. We arrived at the resort at 12 noon which was way earlier than the check in time, which was 3 pm. Thankfully the room is available and to our surprise we were given a complimentary upgrade to a Premier Suite - that was a very nice gesture by the resort.

After spending 3 days and 2 nights there, the good and bad things about the resort are :

Good :
+ Near to airport. Our taxi ride was less than 10 minutes.
+ Quiet location. Away from the busy Chenang Beach. Good place if you just want to relax.
+ Very spacious room. Our Premier Suite can really fit a family of 6 nicely plus your shopping stuff.
+ In-room Wi-Fi was available. Our room was given free, but for other room it may come at a price. Signal is OK at the living area but not at the bedroom.
+ Large and nicely keep infinity pool, with a kids pool available. The scenery at the pool during sunset was stunning. The pool was open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. so lots of time for swimming. The infinity pool was facing a private beach which was clean and nice to hang out.
+ Gymnasium which open 24 hours a day. The equipment - a weight station, two thread-mills, two exercise bikes, two elliptical-trainers - were almost new and in good condition. The gym was almost always empty so if you are gym buff, you can get a a good workout there which I did.
+ Easy to get taxi to go anywhere, if you are renting a car/van. Just tell the front desk personnel and they can get you a taxi really fast.

Bad:
- The room was soulless. It was very bare and bland. The resort has some sort of minimalist concept, but It was simply taking the concept to the extreme. It will not do any harm to put some decorations.
- Not value for money. For a big sum of money, we expect way better. As an example, the room did have a small pantry with complimentary coffee making set and lots of shelves and drawers, but no mini fridge. While this did not affect our stay, but having to countless Hotels and Resorts where many of them were way cheaper and smaller but can provide a mini fridge as a standard, why not a Premier Suite which should be one of best room available in this resort? Breakfast was average, selection was limited but the charge was RM50 per head. No room service.
- Maintenance was an issue. Bedsheet was stained, big cracks can be seen on the wall, our front door's chain lock was damaged, floor tiles was stained. While the room was made up every morning but there was no effort shown to get things repaired.
- If you are afraid of insect especially ants, take precaution. We had ants invasion after we left our soft drink uncovered on the tea table overnight.
- No 'Please Do Not Disturb' and "Please Make Up My Room' sign. Unless you are happen to be in the room and lock the secondary lock/knob, there is no way for you to tell the Housekeeping personnel to give you privacy during the morning rounds.

If you are on business and need to be near to airport, with money to spent, and just need a room to drop off your bags and doze off, this resort will be good for you. The resort is also good for someone who likes to swim at pool or working out at the gym, as long as not spending much time at the room itself. However if you looking for value for money, excellent services and attention to details, think twice.

The Resort is quite silent and good relaxing but does not have basic services so that you can enjoy the fullest. It has good swimming pool and beach is just behind the pool. No good room service and room ambieance is averge. The restaurant does not have much choice of cuisine and we had to order from outside. But still I find it relaxing and away from Cities noise. Good for couple to spend time together in loneliness. I still recommend it as things would have improved.

Room Tip: Take the room facing beach side.
