Resorts World Langkawi
Ranked #24 of 105 Hotels in Langkawi

Very average and nothing to rave about. Old hotel could use with an upgrade. Our room was quite dirty with large stains on the carpet. We had a superior balcony room - balcony was dirty with rubbish on the roof next to it (within easy reach by cleaning staff to be picked up). Balcony doors were very hard to close / open. Is a fair way from town with only a couple shuttle runs each day. For the price you pay, you expect a lot better. The only nice thing about this hotel was the view of the islands and the pool.

We have just had a wonderful stay at Resorts World, thank you to all of the staff! The hotel has the most beautiful views and is in a great location. There is a free shuttle running to and from the busy Cenang beach area so within minutes you can be walking or dining on the beach. The trips organized by the resort are very good value and really worth doing. The hotel food is reasonably priced and I can honestly say I had the best Nasi Lemak I've had in 2 years of living in Malaysia!! The pool is great and the daily fish feeding is lovely, it's amazing what comes in for a nibble of bread. Ask for a quieter room if you have children because of the live music in the evenings but definitely go for a sea view!

Average at the best & nothing to rave about apart from the polite shuttle driver who takes you regularly from and back to the hotel to Pantai Cenang beach. Rooms are big but cleaningless wasn't there. Breakfast was average and some of the bread was frozen. Pool was good and not always crowded. Front reception staff was polite and check-in was fast. For the price paid hotel was only average.

Stayed at Resort World for a week with my family. The hotel is rated 4-star and I now realize there is a big difference between 4-star and 5-star hotels/resorts in Malaysia. Looking at previous reviews, I agree the hotel could do with better maintenance and a spruce up. On a positive note, we booked a room with a sea view and that is exactly what we got. It was breath taking watching the sunrise and sunset over the Andaman sea during our stay. The hotel also had a really nice big swimming pool and my kids throughly enjoyed using it. This place has its charms and the stunning sea views from our room made up for any shortfalls.

Room Tip: Book a room with a sea view and get up early to watch the sun rise.

Basically writing this to warn people that this hotel is a joke, really don't know where to start.
1. Rooms rundown and the layout to get to the rooms is average unless your near lobby.
2.the fish at the front are there as pure distraction of how terriable your room will be.
3.Staff are on there phones (personnel) while your sitting there for 20 minutes at the bar waiting for drinks then they over charge you and bring you the wrong drink every time.
4.The safes in the rooms aren't bolted down there's absolutely no point having them my gf could pick it up and walk out with it under one arm. This is the same In all rooms as we moved 3 times I satisfied with our room each time.
5.Bring your own toiletries as the rooms have bare min.
6. Only good thing is location right on water.
7. Hint shove a spoon in the place where your hotel key goes and leave your aircon as the resort is a rip off they deserve a high power bill.
There is so much better value on this beautiful island please overlook this place.

Not really sure on what to expect before checking-in but the hotel is not a great place to stay. Upon that, i've found the hotel is dirty, worn-out and pretty poor with their services.

Room's furnitures are old and worn-out. Looks like insufficient up-keeping. Bedding was not so comfortable. Pillow cases and bedsheet were below average of its cleanliness. I've stay on their seaview room -the balcony railing is rusty and might be dangerous for the the kids.

In overall i've just enjoyed the sea view/breathe while taking daily breakfast at their walking path (wooden decking) but pls mind ur steps bcoz its getting decayed and gonna put u fall on it.

This hotel could benefit from a major renovation/refurbish, that is, if the operator (business hotel chain) wishes to attract and impress >3star international clientele.

We checked into our room and then left immediately. The hotel is so run down, dirty and staff just don't care. We knew as soon as we entered the room we couldn't stay there. We lost our money but well worth it not to stay there!
