My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night (I wish it was longer!) as he had some business to attend to so I tagged along for the shopping and for some much needed R & R. The front office staff and concierge staff were very friendly and extremely helpful as we had an evening flight out and requested for a late check-out and the hotel was very accommodating. The room we were allocated as Starwood Preferred Guests was very spacious and had a very nice sit out balcony where we could sit and enjoy the view.

The overall ambience and surrounding areas are kept clean and the gardens and water features are well tended too. Morning breakfast is a pleasant experience, with a wide array of food to choose from, as guests can choose to sit in or out to enjoy the ocean breeze.

The hotel is also very close to the Langkawi Yacht Club where we went to see if we could hire some jet-skis. We came across Naam Cruise Sdn Bhd which hires out jet-skis and also has state-of-the-art parasailing. We decided to try the jet-skis which they operate out of Tanjung Rhu, as the weather was starting to change. We unfortunately could not try the parasailing as it starting raining shortly after.

Room Tip: If you're a Starwood Preferred Guest, you'll be allocated rooms overlooking the pool and oce...

We stayed 2 nights at the Westin Langkawi and it was truly an amazing experience. Check in was thorough and welcoming. We booked on a partial sea view room and the room was alright - some of the furnishing was a little dated but the Heavenly bed and the amenities were just excellent.

Breakfast was amazing at the hotel and the live band / singers at Breeze were outstanding.

The Infiniti pool was ok. Food is pricey - so its best to become a Starwood Privilege member and get the discounts. Service is just impeccable all round. Forget about the beach - wish the hotel took more attention to it.

Will definitely come back.

Room Tip: At the airport, there is a Westin lounge for guests who have stayed in the hotel.

When i was looking for a hotel booking, in Langkawi, I found this hotel quiet expensive; but my sister had already issued the tickets, so we decided to give it try "we only live once... so let's enjoy". we did not regret this decision.

The hotel is wonderfully located, you will have one of the best views in Asia. the check in was fantastic. we were welcomed with cold towels and drinks, we have been requested to sit and relax and everything was done. we got our room key and our holidays started.

the room was very clean, the view fantastic. there are two pools: one for kids and the second for adults. a pool bar. the hotel is right on a very beautiful beach.

oh i forgot the Gym facity, the Jacuzzi, Sauna and the squash court.

the food was excellent too. one of the best breakfast in Asia!.

we enjoyed our stay and

An absolutely amazing hotel set in a great location and stunning views from wherever you may stand or even eating breakfast. The staff were the best that I have had to deal with on my holiday and we have stayed at 3 different hotels. Nothing is a problem. our room is a good size, excellent air con only negative is the noise at night from other patrons returning back to the hotel and our room backed on to the carpark. Bit disappointed that we were not offered an upgrade to a room with a balcony, thought that was what our travel agent had asked for, so I suggest that anyone reading this makes that a priority on booking.
Food and drinks are over priced bit disappointing for such a large resort.
breakfast is amazing, caters for everyone, the variety was fantastic. The best of all our stays in Malaysia.
just sitting at any time of the day at The Breeze having a coffee or drink was the best!!
Also the resort bus takes you into Langkawi Fair at 1pm and 5pm daily, which is good if you want to try another place to eat, we recommend Sunday Bistro and Restaurant, great meal and well priced.
Would say this is one of the best hotels that we have stayed in although free wi fi to the room would have been a bonus, although in saying that you can access free wi fi at the lobby and surrounding areas of the hotel.

The best part of the hotel was how it was spread over the beach & the lush green surroundings around it. We went for our honeymoon there & it was the perfect start to it. The room was a bit of a disappointment as my expectation from westin was a bit more, however the overall hotel covered up for it. FromLavish breakfast to Dining at Tide to island view from the pool, the hotel is wonderfully designed for a relaxing & peaceful stay away from the city. The hotels location is another reason to choose it. We were comparing between The Andaman & Westin and are glad we chose this. Less than half an hours cab drive literally covers everything you need to see in this wonderful city.
The rooms could've been more technology prone.

Room Tip: stay at the westin villa....!!

This hotel is set in one of the most spellbinding locations. Looking out to the sea and mountain ranges is just one of those memories you carry with you always. We went for a friend's wedding for four days. The rooms are good but the bathrooms are tiny and a little dated. The pools are lively. Service is decent. A lovely holiday!

I can't understand the review criticizing the breakfast at The Westin. There is an excellent choice and variety to satisfy all nationalities. The location is excellent if you wish to take a boat trip to the numerous nearby islands or wish to go diving or parasailing or indeed take the trip to the mangroves. It is also a good starting point to explore the island.
The spa is uniquely located on the beach and the three treatments I had were of the highest standard in a serene and relaxing atmosphere. I stayed in a villa and found it to be very clean, well appointed and spacious. Overall the staff and service were excellent. From what I have seen of the beaches around Langkawi they are all very similar. The Westin keep the sand in front of the hotel clean and it is very picturesque looking out to the islands. If you don't wish to swim in the sea they have excellent swimming pools right near the beach.
