Buffalo Park, Langkawi
Ranked #53 of 97 things to do in Langkawi
Attraction details
Reviewed April 2, 2013

We visited the Buffalo Park on 31/3/2013. It's educational in the sense that;
1. you can see and touch the buffalos. i bet many haven't done that in their life.
2. See how mozarella (RM 12), ricotta (RM 5) cheeses were made by 'Malays'. They might not be that tasty or creamy but boleh la. In Rebak Island Resort the salad with Langkawi's mozarella could cost nearly RM 50.
3. Can get other products too; yogurt, milk, ice cream and even steak.
4. To support the effort of Kampung people to better themselves.

Quite far, went there hoping to buy some mozzarella cheese. The lady at the counter said, they don't have any to sell but we can order some cheese dishes and eat there. Bland, dry, not creamy
Usual Malaysian practice, setup business but don't care about customer service. Don't waste your time, unless u wanna see some buffaloes.

thank god i hired a driver for my tour, and he managed to bring us there after driving thru a what he so call "dam" or perhaps a really huge drain.

anyway, when we reached. it was in the afternoon and there were no activities going on. the lady by the counter wasnt very friendly and she just sold us our entrance ticket at 5rm/person. its just one huge area to view the buffaloes. i had lotsa fun trying to pet on their head. :)

we bought the yogurt and milk to give it a dress.. does taste slightly lighter than normal.

We arrived quite in the afternoon so we decided to have lunch and didn't really enter the farm. The buffalo steak was very nice, and in my opinion worth the rm15 we spent on it. The ice cream had a lighter taste than regular ice cream, but still very delicious. Mango lassi is especially refreshing in the afternoon heat. If you haven't tasted buffalo meat before, this place should be on your to do list. Just be careful while driving as the road is very narrow,

This is a small farm, not really a 'park'. As it only consists of 30-something buffalos, with a small cabin that serves as cafe/entrance gate/cheese and yoghurt factory. The gate sign that marks this place could be easily overlooked.

If you're a nature lover, you'll probably love this park for its buffalos, we sure did. Although when we visited, there were no other activities except for buffalo-viewing (probably due to the Ramadan holiday), and we were charged RM3 for entrance fee.
