We were given absolutely fantastic service at this restaurant by jimmy and his family. Is is is a real gem in a beautiful location. The food is outstanding and having done the cooking course here too, we know that jimmy is an expert chef!

We plan to return here on our final night in Langkawi and we can't wait!

Thank you jimmy for a dinning experience to be had by all.
We came across this restaurant by chance, riding the bike just down any side road mid afternoon.
Jimmy came out and chatted to us about his restaurant, history and food interests for about half an hour after which time we were convinced we had to try the food there.

Two nights later we made it, if you are going to eat anywhere in Langkawi, you must have at least one meal here, the food here is a taste sensation, the menu list is amazing as are jimmy's cooking skills.
To have the memories of being able to sit on the verandah with a good quality ( and reasonably priced) bottle of wine and watch the sun setting gradually set over the rice paddy's,without being rushed to place our order, is a few minutes that we will treasure for a long time to come.
Thankfully we have many pictures and memories of the setting sun to remind us of these moments.
If you ever have the opportunity to experience dinner here, make the effort, it is so worth while.
Thank you Jimmy

The other reviews are all spot on. Jimmy was relaxed, friendly, and helpful in suggesting good dishes. The flavors were amazing; definitely the best meal we had in 4 days in Langkawi. The sunset over the rice fields and the cool breeze made it all the more special. I regret we did not take a cooking class there. It's a bit out of the way - but so worth the taxi money. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Pia's The Padi restaurant lived up to our expectations, having read the excellent reviews. With open sides overlooking paddy fields and up to Mount Mat Chincang, it gives you a flavour of timeless Malaysia. Jimmy himself waited on us and explained the dishes to us. We chose the meal for two, which was absolutely delicious. He tailored the meal to accommodate my vegetarian preference. After a starter of vegetable pakora, we had one beef and one vegetable butter masala, which were lovely - mild yet tasty and served with side accoutrements and fluffy plain rice. I concur with a previous diner to say that the kulfis, both mango and pistachio were delicious.
There was no wine list, and the prices were Western, but otherwise excellent!

My wife and I whenever we travel,we always look for a different kind of food and taste. The food here is prepared personally by the chef with a fussion of taste. Its simply exceed our expectation. the taste of the food here is unique and the chef is the master of balancing the taste of meat with its herbs and spices that it doesnt overpower each other. Combine with the scenic view and relaxing music. This is really a magical experience!Totally recommend to come here.Other than photo memories now we have food memories as well. The only regret we have is taking photos of the food. Now everytime we look at the picture we will missed the taste of the food.
