After reading the comments we desided to go all the way up first. Altough it's around 600 steps we thought it was pretty easy. If you are too lazy, go to the beach. Once we reached the top there was practically no one there We had all the pools to ourselves and spend a good 2 hours enjoying the clean and warm water. The site was clean and there were toilets and showers that you can also use to put on your bathing clothes.
In the middle there was a natural "waterslide" that brings you from one of the pools to the next. This looks kinda dangarous but it turned out to be quite safe. The sides of the pools are slippery so be carefull with (small) children.
Afterwards we went down to visit the waterfall, but because of little rainfall there was not really a big waterfall. It was nice to see but it was much more crowded so we enjoyed the top better.
I would recommend a visit to the top, it's worth the climb.
