Very beautiful and scenic place and location is nearby the Langkawi Cable Car, no need to pay any entrance fee. There more than about 500 steps to the peak, tiring but worth it!

After spending a couple of hours at the Oriental Village and taking the Cable Car, we ventured on the short drive to the Seven Wells Falls.

Parking was simple, under a tree in the shade and the parking fee of 2 rm is understandable and appropriate.

We headed off up the hill, then the steps to the first level falls turn off. In the very oppressive conditions it was tough work. We noticed many people (including ourselves) taking a break or two along the way.

Once at the first level, there is a paved pathway leading slightly down hill to the falls. Once there the area opens up into a beautiful little area with the lower falls as the backdrop to a lovely little natural swimming hole.

I ventured into the water, after negotiating some very slippery rocks and relaxed in the cool water which was much appreciated after the tough climb. Getting OUT of the swimming hole was a tricky assignment !

The walk back to the car park was nowhere near as brutal, however we managed to work up another sweat by the finish.

We did not attempt to climb to the higher levels of the falls, nor did we see others attempting to do so.

Please remember to take plenty of water with you.

Overall, the experience was a little underwhelming - probably as a result of the tough climb out of the carpark. As far as waterfalls go, it was ok and in hindsight was worth the effort, but I wouldn't bother doing it again.

The walk up to the top is a little tough in high humidity, but it was well worth it. We saw lots of wildlife on the way up (unusual birds, butterflies and a handful of monkeys), and then cooled off with a swim in the multiple pools above the main waterfall. The waterfall isn't the most spectacular i've ever seen, but it was an enjoyable experience

We walked to the top of the waterfall where you're able to jump into the water and slide down the rocks. You can get some great pictures from the top as well. I would recommend you hike to the top first then work your way down to the lower levels, especially if it's hot. The toilets at the top of the waterfall aren't very nice, and don't smell great, so if you're planning on swimming then go with your gear on rather than using the facilities to change in.

The walk up to the "wells" certainly gets your heart pumping. But legs were pretty tired and saw quite a few tired people as well. When we got there, it didn't really have a waterfall to look at as it was probably the top of the waterfall. We saw children and adults playing in the water. This is not for the elderly or very young children but if you are game for the 367 steps, go for it. At the bottom of the steps area, there is an off-road, and that leads to a waterfall that looks pretty nice.
