Summary: Best meal we had at Langkawi. Setting was fantastic, right next to the beautiful Tanjung Rhu beach. Food was very good and service was friendly, professional. A bit pricey, but what isn't on a tourist island like Langkawi?
Tip: Was told by the captain that their house specialty is their pizzas. We were too full from our own orders to try :)
We were at the Tanjung Rhu beach area on a wet Tuesday afternoon and decided to drop by Four Seasons for lunch. At the carpark, we were informed that only Kafe Kelapa was operating at that time. Once we heard that it's right next to the beach, we went without a second thought.
We were driven to the Kafe through the vast hotel grounds on a golf buggy. We had a table facing the famed Tanjung Rhu beach. As it was drizzling, the beach was empty, making the atmosphere very peaceful. We ordered the Wagyu beef sandwich and the lamb kebab, both of which were outstanding. The lamb kebab was grilled to perfection. It was tender and flavourful. Wagyu beef was juicy and the portion was very generous. Service was professional and attentive.
These 2 mains, without drinks, set us back by RM150 (including service). So, it wasn't cheap. But we thoroughly enjoyed a quiet afternoon with sea breeze on our faces and top-notch food. It was an experience that we would not hesitate to recommend.
