Owner description: Note 1: We have a German shepherd on board. She is very friendly and everybody loves her. Note 2: we are not halal and most my guests wear swimsuits on the cruise. Damai Indah and Damai Indah Lagi are charming traditional wooden cargo-boats that Eva, the only lady-captain in the area, has converted and renovated to become luxurious charter-boats. She and her crew are passionate about sailing and offer cruises around the archipelago of Langkawi on the highest standard possible. Food is cooked fresh on the boats either by Eva herself or by a professional chef and caters on the highest level possible for all nations and diets. The bar is always well stocked up and includes most poplar drinks and spirits. The cruising area is the north east of Langkawi, close to Thailand and covers the most beautiful islands of the archipelago; far off the beaten track. If you opt for a sharing cruise or a private charter – you will be in good hands! my phone number is listed with whatsApp

My wife and I had yesterday a sunset cruise with Dama Indah.

It was absolutely the climax of our trip in Langkawi. Dean (the captain) shared his knowledge of the island all along the boat trip, while Esther (the chief) made excellent meals and cocktails for us. We were lucky enough to see Dolphins while chilling out on the boat roof top.

The diner was perfect too, with good wine, good food and very nice people. Eva (the owner) was among them and she shared with us nice pieces of her life.

Being on honey moon trip we had also the pleasure to participate to a blessing ceremony during which we were covered of rose petals.

An evening which we will remember for long.

Just came back from a day with Eva and her crew and it was amazing! Worth every penny! The food, the getaways, the sunset, the boat, the crew, the stories, the beach: everything blew our mind. Wish we never would have had to go ashore!

When looking for things to do in Langkawi via TA we come across the Damai Indah cruise. With all the positive reviews we decided to book the trip even though it was a little more expensive than other cruises. We were definately NOT disappointed.
We arrived at the tour office an hour before we were due to set sail. We were warmly met by Gerd and Eva who too our surprise explained that no-one else had booked the cruise for the day so we had our own private charter!! Brilliant.
We set sail and the weather was turning for the worse so a diversion missing all the rains and we had sun for the next 6 hours! Eva was extremely friendly and offered us cocktails as soon as we were aboard and she talked a little about the area and her fantastic boat. She then went below deck to start our first course. This was aprawn salad type starter..which was delicious. She explained the bar was free flow and we didnt have an empty wine glass or beer the whole trip. She then took us to a deserted island where we canoed and spent some time on the beach by ourselves (beers in hand of course). Later we took a little boat to the caves and then back on board for a feast that had been prepared whilst the sun was going down and the clouds were gathering.
Eva and crew made us feel like royalty aswell as part of the crew/family. I would recommend this cruise above any. Everything about it was stunning and would go backin an instant.
Eva keep up the good work and good look with the Discovery Channel!!! If you need two deck hands to varnish the boat you know who to call!!
All the best, your English friends!

We could not fault this tour even if we wanted to, from start to finish it was the best end to our honeymoon we could of asked for, perfect setting for a nice chilled time with some great host and beautiful scenery.
We ate and drank as much as we wanted whilst chilling on bored the beautiful yacht and her crew,
The little boat trip around the little islands are well worth it, and very informative, we even managed to see a eagle eating its dinner near its nest.
The food was excellent and the drink was flowing as fast or as slow as you wanted. I would highly recommend spending the extra money to come on this cruise!!

We were so impressed with the reviews on this website that we chose to include this cruise on our Langkawi itinerary and were not disappointed. As luck would have it, we were the only couple booked for the sunset cruise, and were treated to what amounted to our own personal cruise!!! Eva and her crew ("Aussie Phil") made us welcome from the start, Eva has a great rapport and warmth, you are made to feel that you are more a guest and friend rather than merely a passenger. Eva also cooks up a treat, these great smells waft from the galley as you take in all of the views. Highlights had to be the amazing sunset (photos attached), and watching a Garfish skip on top of the water with a famous Langkawi Eagle swooping out of nowhere - the Eagle missed the fish by a whisker! (Far better than the "eagle feeding" where some operators throw chicken scraps into the water, reducing these fine birds to scavengers).
We docked pretty well on time, yet Eva insisted on us staying for a while for a nightcap - Phil was even able to have a wine now that he wasn't 'behind the wheel' - it was a fine end to a great day. If you want a unique experience, you can't go past
