Stayed in room 224 from 17th Dec to 21st Dec,

Nice comfy King sized bed, one chair, working air conditioning, NICE warm showers with rain shower head.

Wifi connection without password is nice touch, except that the level wifi connection was buggy even though with a full strength. Managed to get connected to another level wifi with a good connection when I am near the door.

Has a window, nice to have the sunlight in but no view, but of course this is a low level hotel, how much of a view could you demand.

Not to forget the map by google map including the satellite imagery is inaccurate, good thing we used local knowledge.

Good location has 7-11, Tesco, Secret Recipe. Night hawkers some food nice, some with caution, The Viet Restaurant is nice, too bad they are moving, the Indian Muslim Restaurant is nice too, serves tandoor at night, day time typical Indian fare of prata and other foods.

Restaurant Bunga Naga was mediocre, avoid. Day trip to Langkawi is possible, ferry ride is almost 2 hours and well... taxi service is by call. Better to get some numbers from the receptionist and tie down with the drivers themselves

Oh yes my son loves the shower and the bed, kept hopping on to the bedding and he practically occupied the centre of the bed. He's 13 months BTW. hehe

Although the location is near with other facilities, but the service was very poor..starting from the receptionist who is not friendly, not even a smile, breakfast was out with the person in charge is more keen with his tab rather than customers.Receptionist hang your call before you finish talking because her handphone was ringing. If I were given a second option, I will never stay here again.

The location of the hotel is easy to find, right beside tesco and a straight drive from the alor setar south exit of PLUS highway. There are a few malay food stall around the corner which served a good nasi goreng (aka fried rice). Other than that, it's at a quiet part of the town and nothing much.

The receptionist is a professional one, with a welcoming attitude. The room is kind of small but for the price I paid, it's ok. The rain shower is nice, with good water pressure but the hot shower came only after 5 minutes of running tap. Bed is comfortable, but I found a few hair that does not belong to us. The flat screen come with a few channel, and wifi in the room works well. All in all, it's a comfortable stay.

Surprisingly the hotel provide complimentary breakfast, but be sure to be there early else some of the food might get snapped up. The soft boil egg is kind of too raw, partially transparent when you cracked it. The mee goreng is nice.

First of all, this is a business hotel, so does not have a swimming pool and drinking bar. Location is not at city area, but can go by car within 10 minutes. For those who have no car, it's difficult to manage to go anywhere easily. It was difficult to find the hotel by GPS, I recommend you to search by "TESCO Mergong". I stayed at Suite type, which had a jacuzzi bath, and I enjoyed it. Room is a little bit dark to read a book. Space is quite OK for one person. Shower and toilet and jacuzzi space is separated. PC on the desk seemed not working, so I didn't use. No shampoo and soap, it was inconvinient. Seven Eleven is located next to hotel and 24 hours open. Over the road, you can go easily to TESCO, with operation hour until 11pm and also you can find ATM inside. Car park area is not only for hotel customers and so I had to park a little bit far from hotel entrance. Wifi connection was OK. Shower and Jacuzzi water pressure is also OK. There was a flat TV and DVD player. My room was Suite type and it's spacy, but not sure about normal type. At night, I was annoyed by other room person's loud voices and laughing. So, the wall is not shutting sounds so well. Breakfast menu is very limited. However, I saw some change in two days. This hotel is located in shop lot area, and you can find some restaurant just near the hotel. Overall, I was satisfied with Suite room type.

Room Tip: If afordable, to choose suite type. You can be relaxed with jacuzzi and can read a book by sitting o...

My wife & I together with another couple stayed at this Hotel recently. It seemed to be very attractive from the outside as it was indicated as a 'business hotel'. We arrived pretty late at night around 10.30pm & booked very last minute through on-line. There was a big signage that says' No Smoking' just as we walked up to our rooms. Carpet was bad, had a lot of cigarette burnt marks, we were at Level 1 - ventilation was bad as it had strong cigarette smell. Room size was OK, we had to shower in cold water as the heater was not working. Turned water lever left & right, still no hot water! Called the reception & was told to turn the water lever correctly! Bidet head was missing too - toilet floor was flooded. Hotel not maintained well and I guess this hotel caters to 'day-use' visitors. Since it was already close to midnight, we just stayed through as we had to leave the following day by 8.00am.

Stay here a few times, first time stay at it's executive room were spacious and clean. 2nd times stay at it's standard room, unfortunately it's have old bed sheet and unclean floor. Price is at it's high compare to others but because of food and Tesco nearby make its place an convenience stay. But for Muslim, please remember that the restaurant is no more halal as all the crew and those manage it is non Muslim. Please be aware.

Room was clean and neat, staff friendly and slightly motivated. As mentioned, no wifi in room despite being told that there was by staff (only in lobby). Room was very noisy despite having double glazing. Close to Tesco and other convenience stores. Plus was it has a lift for heavy bags, the other leverage did not have one.
