Visited the Falls on a Friday morning. Upon arrival by car, you will see that the main gate is closed. After checking with the local residents, the only way to the falls is to walk up. We parked our car using the local resident compound, which cost RM1. If you have elderly people, it might be tough for them as the slope is steep. You will need about 20 ~ 30 mins to climb up to a y-intersection. We met one of the local resident who excerise every day, told us taking the left route will lead to the pool and continue walking on the right will lead to the top of falls and a army camp. We took the left route as our elderly people were tired. After walking downslope, I think we reached the first cascade with a nice pool. As it was raining season, there were not many people except a couple. The depth of the pool was about 1.5m. My kids loved to play in the pool as there is a rope hanged across by previous users. The nice thing about this falls is that there is no fishes unlike Kota Tinggi falls. Toilet for changing/bathing is available. Overall experience is great as this falls is free unlike Kota Tinggi which is too commercialise. We will definitely be back for a second time.

I came across Pulai Waterfall during a visit to a relative at Pekan Nenas Kampung Sawah.I never knew it existed.Of all natural places I love most waterfalls.I have frequented Kota Tinggi quite often eversince I started driving on my own.
Honestly I came to know of Pulai Waterfalls only in 1998.I went there again and again .I love that place due to its nearness to Spore and as an alernative to Kota Tinggi.
One reason is that i don't have to use the Causeway and face the routine jams.Others include new sights at Gelang Patah and Pekan Nenas. The place is also quite oblivious to Sporeans as i dont see many S plates cars and not tooo crowded even on weekends. What i like too is the place is very much shaded and not unlike KT which is quite open to direct sunlight.Another pointer is the main fall is at lower areas unlike KT which is at higher grounds where we need to climb up to view it.
But then there was the big fatal landslide and my trips there were stopped.
I still do not know of its latest development whether it has been made safe for the public.
I miss that place very much.If anyone could inform me of its latest development pls do so at khaidirothman@hotmail.com
Thank you
