Excellent all round from staff at reception to cleanliness of room. To the best chicken wings I have ever had. The staff were always happy to help and assist with any request. The room was excellent and well equipped.

Well-located in the Permas Jaya township of Johor Bahru, Renaissance is about 10 to 15 minutes only by road to the Woodlands causeway into Singapore & it is great for those who plan to drive into Singapore. To compliment its fantastic location, the area next to the hotel are abundant with restaurants & food outlets offering numerous types of food, including Japanese and Korean cuisines.

The hotel is just a few years old & already they are putting a new coat of paint on it. Checkin and checkout took quite long, considering the fact that I was using the Marriott's mobile app. Yes, they have a mobile app counter but the purpose was defeated. Another minus point was the lack of coordination at the front desk with the delivery of morning papers; despite making a few repeated requests for it during our week-long stay, we still had to go down to collect it every morning.

The room was large and space generous, equipped with the usual room amenities. Best thing was the extremely comfortable bed and pillows, assuring a good slumber. Bathroom was quite spacious but shower pressure not strong enough. The wooden panelings and carpet looked a bit tired but nonetheless the whole stay there was very good & I would recommend it without hesitation.

Booked directly using SPG Gold member and lounge was included.

Check in was fast and got a room on 15th floor. Hi-tea was drinks and snacks. Canapé had more food items and alcohol but be sure to come at 530pm because the desserts only had one serving, no more refill after that. Breakfast at lounge had lesser selection then the lobby restaurant.

Wifi was stable and fast.

Swimming pool was great for lap Swimming or until the kids came with their floats.

The hotel is doing exterior painting to cover the old painting, work is in progress.

Late check out until 4pm was appreciated.

We enjoyed our stay.

Double room with 2x large single bed, but ants will come if place something sweet on table, refurbishing the hotel wall on our stay, defiitely will looks better once complete. Breakfast is excelent and 1 step further compare to conventional hotel breakfast

If you plan to go to Legoland land or nearby attractions, this hotel provides a shuttle service over weekends and it offers far better value for money vs the theme hotels at the parks. You get better food and sleep minus the decorated rooms though.
