“Waste of Money at 11@Century Hotel”

Bad reception? Bad Lifts? No hot water? What a crappy place to stay!. First, let's just say they almost lose our reservation. The lift was really small and it seems it is unsafe. The room was ordinary. The toilet has no hot water. So we had to call the receptionist. The hotel room's phone is useless actually. It seems the hotel doesn't want to fix it. Despite the worker came up and then he went out and never came back again. THIS HAPPENED TWICE. how bad can the management be? We checked in at 3pm until check out and they still had not solve the problem. At night, the room has the nightclub noise till 8am non stop. HOW ANNOYING

During the check out, the manager did not apologise for the inconvinence. RM 550 is a waste. NEVER EVER come to this hotel.

Room Tip: Never choose 11@Century Hotel even you cannot get any room in JB. Sleeping insude your car much bett...

We had booked online 1 Deluxe Room on 3 Dec 2012. Reach the hotel at 1300hrs and was told to check in at 1400hrs. Return to the Hotel to check in at 1420hrs.

When book online, we had requested to have a room at high floor due to the noise from the nearby pub. The reception staff had told us that the room at 10th floor has no air-con due to some maintenance carried out. Only the room at 6th floor is available. We prefer at high floor but how my children to stay in the room without air-con and no fan is provided when requested. In addition outside is raining cat and dog and we had no where to go.. This is the 1st time I had come across a hotel scheduded its air-con maintenance in this manner. If this is their standard way for the maintenance, then they should advise us when we book the room online.

We had requested them to make some arrangements. I am very angry and spoilt my day, when I know that they just do not take this seriously. We waited in the lobby and only when I get back to them, they just replied: Only 6th Floor...they don't even bother to reply me.

I had wrote to the Hotel, but the do not bother to reply. If their management think this is the customer service to be rendered to us, then we have nothing to say. We suggest to those who want to stay in this hotel, think thrice...

Room Tip: There is still other hotel around the vicinity...eg KSL restort.

We chose to spend our weekend at 11@Century Hotel. The hotel is strategically located next to the KSL Mall. It is also about 5 minutes walk to Holiday Plaza. Taxi from the customs took about 10 mins (about RM 7-8).

We booked a deluxe room (1 queen bed + 1 single bed) through Agoda but was given a superior room (2 single beds) upon check-in. After some verifications with the check-in staffs, we were allocated a deluxe room but was told that our room was not ready even at 3.30pm in the afternoon.

When we finally managed to check-in after our dinner, we were given a deluxe room at level 9 of the property. The modern room was spacious and it appeared fresh. However, it reeked of insecticides and we noticed that the housekeeper had left one of the windows opened to rid the stench. This might invite insects into the room though.

Our bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom came with a rain shower with powerful jets of warm water. However, it seemed that the partition wasn't water proof. The whole bathroom floor was completely wet after our shower. The toiletries were comprehensive for a budget hotel and there were complimentary drinking water (a plus point).

I guess the main drawback was that sound proofing of the room was a problem as the noise from the nearby pubs & restaurants were quite disturbing & overwhelming. This continued throughout the night. As we were so tired, this did not really affect us. I guess travellers who are seeking for a night of serenity and calm during their stay would be very disapppointed.

The complimentary breakfast buffet was limited and uninviting. There were nasi lemak, porridge, toasts and eggs. The poor staffs appeared overwhelmed by the number of guests during breakfast hours. They tried their best but it seemed that they had a hard time refilling the food in the buffet table or clearing the tables after the guests left. I pitied the service staffs as some of the guests from the other side of the causeway were quite unreasonable & nasty to them. However, I've to agree that the coffee was bland & tasteless. It just wasn't good to start off the day.

I probably would not check-in the hotel again given the disturbing noise in our room at night (a major concern) and the mess in the bathroom after our shower. Our bed was comfortable though. The service & breakfast could be improved even though I believed that given the low room rates, this could probably be the best 11@Century Hotel could offer.

Free Wireless in the lobby and room. KSL shopping mall is within walking distance. But when it comes to rain, you have no shelter. Breakfast in the hotel is so so. Hotel room is pretty new as they are still going through renovation.

We stayed in this hotel for only one night but found the service very lacking. The room itself (we were upgraded to Superior) and breakfast is ok but the reception really needs improvement.
We had to call the reception numerous times and finally got through to ask them for a hairdryer.
But the hair dryer never came.
We spoke with reception several times and they seemed to be in their own world or not interested in helping guests at all.
One guy in particular spent his time leaning back and playing with his nails while the rest were tending to guests. When we approached him on luggage queries, he shrugged and pressed a bell and continued playing with his nails.
Check out was also disorganised and time-consuming.
There is also a severe noise issue as we were on the 2nd level and had live karaoke until 2am, followed by shouts and quarrels between drunk men outside the hotel. After which the noise was continued by dogs barking - all of which were clearly heard from our L2 room.
The location is good and rooms are ok but for the noise and poor service, I will not stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor away from the main street for peace and quiet.

The room is pretty good & cosy for the price. It is extremely close to KSL shopping centre for those who want an economical accommodation choice around that area. I will give the room 7 out of 10 and value a 9 out of 10. Much better than what I would expect from the price.

Had late check-in on a Friday night. Check-in was smooth, front desk agent was polite. Requested for a high floor, facing ksl room but only the “KSL facing” request was accommodated. Stayed in room #316, level 3 yet still could not connect WIFI to my smartphone. In addition, can hear a bit of music from the clubs nearby on the Saturday night.
Hotel had only 2 lifts which were small & slow. Our Superior Queen room however was big, bed was okay for the price we paid. I do rather find it weird to have a pillar in the middle of the room. Given 2 pillows each. TV channels limited but adequate. KSL within a stone throw away, but the path to KSL wasn't properly laid/lit.
Free breakfast was okay. Defaults available: plain rice, plain porridge, cereal, baked beans, fruits. Alternate days had dry meesiam/fried kway teow. Also equipped with an egg station which was a nice touch as the chef understood my requirement - sunny side down overcooked.
Request to make room while we were out and was promptly done. Provides basic amenities: toothbrush/paste, comb, shower cap, shower foam & shampoo (note - no conditioner and hair dryer).

Room Tip: High floor + KSL facing rooms to avoid noise from nearby clubs. However, if booked Superior Queen...
