Stayed here for the first time after being staying at Zone Hotel most of the time in Johor Bahru.

Much better experience compared to the other hotel. Pleasant room with rain shower. Nice.

Walking distance to a new huge mall. Good.

We stayed in an extremely spacious two bedroomed suite. We only stayed here for one night on our way back to Singapore airport. It seemed like much better value than the hotels on the other side of the straits, and we couldn't really fault the hotel, yet it wasn't quite as good as it could have been. Just silly little minor irritations, all too trivial to mention except one, and that was the smell of greasy food in the corridor leading to our room, where room service food may have been left lying around. The infinity swimming pool was great, and a good place to cool off. We ate in the hotel on three occasions and received good attention each time, and the food was ok.
The lobby area was certainly very busy, and perhaps the hotel staff could be primed to be a bit more positive about their city. On replying to the question "are their any sights you would recommend we visit?" we were told there were none. In fact on further examination it was revealed that we go to the JB shopping mall, so we took up this option. The only problem was that the mall was a 45 mile drive away and was nowhere near the town itself. Unfortunately, for us Westeners, it was nothing special.
On the top floors there was a bar/nightclub with live entertainment, A large Cigar Smoking Room and a 'private' club for the wealthy businessman. It was a little bit seedy and very dark.
Unfortunately for us our room was directly below the dancefloor, so we were able to hear the music into the early hours along with the clomping of heels on the floor.
We resorted to Lonely Planet online guide and would recommend the glass Hindu Temple, although Johor taxi drivers also seem to be ignorant as to where it is. Generally Johor Bahru needs to big itself up a little, and the people here (well the people we spoke to anyway) seem to have an inferiority complex living next door to Singapore.
Unfortunately this rubbed off on us and we felt that perhaps we should have paid the extra and stayed in Singapore after all.

The room is spacious and being a new hotel therefore furnitures are all new. Very standard amenities, kettle, fridge, complimentary drinks are all provided. The check in hall is not as big as a normal 4* hotel should have, it's definitely more like a 3*. The front entrance is consider small too and at times, it's crowded with guests leaving and arriving, no place to wait for taxi.
This hotel is within walking distance (5min) to the near by KSL shopping mall, but do not go on Monday as the road leading to the mall will have local night market. The road will be blocked and the stall owners will displace their merchandise along the road. If you fancy local nigh market shopping, you will find heaps of local food, cheap clothes, toy and etc. do beware of pickpocket!
The hawker entire at the back of the hotel (it doesn't belong to the owner), has a lot of food to offer at night. It basically is open from the morning where there are only few hawkers open for business but fully in operation at night. I guess the food is relatively cheap because many of the hotel staff dine there.

Food can easily get near the hotel. Deluxe Room is clean with 2 queen bed. Bathroom come with separate shower area and bath tub. Breakfast is average. Staff from reception not too friendly and almost gave me a smoking room without even asking me. Housekeeping staff are efficiency. Will like to stay there again.

First impression given at the hotel was really bad. We requested for early check-in to the hotel via email and was given confirmation by the duty manager. As our plans changed (luckily), we only arrived at the hotel at 2.55pm. When I was checking in, the staff, Angeline, told me that there are no rooms available for us and we should come back after 3.00pm (note that we arrive at 2.55pm), I told her that I specifically requested for early check-in and now even I arrived at 3.00pm, my room is still not ready. Angeline replied and said that the hotel is fully booked and it is not her problem or her fault that they have no rooms for me and we should come back at 3.00. By the time we finish this conversation, it was already 2.57pm. We then told Angeline, we will wait at the side and we will come back to her at 3.01pm. At 3.01pm, we approach the counter again and Angeline asked her friend to attend to us and we got our room thereafter.

The hotel requested for an initial deposit of 300RM, but I told her that my room rate exceeds that amount. She went and check and came back saying that the room have been paid for so we would only require to pay $50 SGD deposit instead.

When we were checking out, the staff then told me another story saying that the room have not been paid for. Such confusing hotel management. Something need to be improved about this.

The rooms were nice but the toilet concept is really weird. We booked the twin room (2 queen size bed). The sink was outside the toilet, behind the main door when the toilet was so big and spacious. The bathtub was really small. With the amount of space, they could have built a shower room instead. The flush in the toilet wasn't working too well as well.

One plus point about this hotel is the location as it is near most of the places we go to and behind the hotel is KSL City with Tesco.

Doubt we'll be back, but it is alright for just one night stay. There are better hotels out there.

Everything is fine... Only that the mattress & bed was extremely uncomfortable... Not to sure if there's mattress topper on the bed but unlike other Hotel that I've stayed, the mattress was flat n not fluffy... As for the pillow, I guess it's time to change... Very flat!

Fridge in the room was hot! Guess it was not working... It's not cold at all...

Breakfast was up to expectation... As for
Room Service, lamb cutlet was tasty but the char Kuey Teow waa kind of disappointing... Watery!!!

The hotel is located approx 10mins drive to the JB immigration crossing to Singapore, ideal place for a short stay or day trip to Singapore. We booked a twin sharing room, it is spacious and clean. Room is nicely furnished with modern furnitures. I find the bathroom to be too dim. Its either the ac or the ventilation cover gave out loud noise and thus I was unable to sleep. Only realised the sound when TV was turned off midnight. Breakfast is so so and provides a selection of local (nasi lemak) and western.
