This is well worth a visit, you don't have to be religious to enjoy the beauty of it, there isn't much there, but the views from the top of the statue provide a fantastic view of Jounieh, Beirut and Byblos and other vantage points around the area. A nice escape from the heat and humidity of the coast. Plenty of facilities on site, also there are some really nice restaurant on the road up to Harissa that are worth a visit, most of them have views down the mountain to the sea. We didn't use the teleferic but drove up which was straight forwards.
