If you are religious, and know about St Charbel, you must visit thr Village of ANNAYA, the mountain side of Byblos, 35' drive, it is very serene, nature is all around, no wander why St Charbel chose to spend there his rest of his life, you feel very spiritual and close to God

Whether you are religious or not, this place offers a very spiritual experience where we leaved a peaceful and very emotional moment. The cedars arount the hermitage are beautiful and the view to the valley is breathtaking. You can hear the sound of the wind in the valley, mixed with the bell of the church and almost hear the whispering prayers of the most ancient christians.
The only word that can describe this place is "peace".

I was overwhelmed by the peace and respect that greeted me when we visited this tomb , personally i found it really interesting , the displays , building and courtyard are immaculately preserved . you most certainly get a feeling of being closer to god and cant help but take a few mins to sit and contemplate , as mentioned previous they also have a beautiful gift shop and all is very well priced , its not a day trip but well worth a couple of hrs of your time if your visiting the area .
