“Great service, Great food, and what a view!”

I stay here for about a month in July of 2009 and every morning I wouldwalk out of my room and right down to the beach. My room over looked the sea - breath taking. True, the rooms are not like those of the Ritz Carlton, but they were spacious enough for me and we had a fridge, tv, and good AC...but it was all about that ocean front balcony! I would go here again in a heartbeat!

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst touring round Lebanon - had prebooked a room with a balcony but unfortunately when we arrived we got one of their scabby rooms that hasn't been refurbished in centuries, has a view of the road & looked as tho it hadn't been cleaned in a long time.
Fortunately on 2nd day got the room we had booked - large balcony with great view of sea & beach. Room was clean, comfortable (if a bit small) & nicely decorated.
Breakfast was reasonable. Dinner nothing special - better eating in town.

I stayed at this hotel during 10 days. The hotel located in very good place. If you prefer cheap beach tourism Ahiram will be good choise. The hotel is on the beach, you go 1 min. on downstaires directly to the beach where you can take sunshadows, sun armchaires and so on for 1-2 USD. In the beach you can find small cafe with cola, water, tea and food. Also beach guards propose boats, kayaks itd. The staff of the hotel is very friendly, helpfull and honest people. On the front desk Elvire and Pascal are the best (fluent English and French). The breakfest during these days was the same (bread, butter, meat, cheese, olivas, eggs itd.) but good with fruits, cakes, juices and so on. At the restaurant Mr. Mustafa and chief of cooking Mr. Abed are very good and friendly. If you want to go to Byblos center you can reach it from Ahiram till 5-7 min. The room is generally clean with sea view and large terrace, every day they change towels, 2 times - soap, shampoo, 2 times - changed bed accessories. They made wake up call in the night for taxi to airport. Transfer service was good and honest. Generally, I have good impression about Ahiram hotel and it's people. For relatively low price (compairing with Eddy Sands or Beirut hotels) it was a good service and very honest attitude of people.

we paid 90 $ for a mediocre double. but currently there are no other options in Byblos, as far as i know the other hotels are all outside town and byblos sur mer is being renovated. the room was ok, there was a dead cockroach on the floor though. and in the corner of the bathroom floor we found lots of hair (see pic). we told the receptionist to get someone to clean the bathroom. when we came back from swimming they apologised and said it was all clean now. but the hair was still all there!
the location is really good, with a pebbly beach just outside the hotel.

This comment is misleading as our rooms including the bath are cleaned to perfection after being used by guests of the hotel. The pictures posted zooms into an area of the bath after being used and before being re-cleaned. Regarding our prices they are the most compatible, as our beachfront hotel is located in the old area of Byblos on the most beautiful location.
