“Great Hospitality”
Reviewed May 19, 2011

Our stay was for three weeks. The front office manager Elvire made us very welcome from the minute we walked in, her great smile and pleasant sociable manner told us we had made the right choice. The girls at reception and all the other staff were also very helpful to fulfill our needs. Homemade traditional dishes were made at our request, although not part of the menu DELICIOUS!!
The hotel has nice views with a beautiful Sunset and the position is within walking distance to restaurants and souk (shops).

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room

We stayed there for two nights, had a room with a beautiful view over the sea. Location of the hotel is perfect, everything is in walking distance, but the street is quiet. Hotel is nice, room was clean, TV didn`t work, but staff fixed it immediately. Parking is available in front of the hotel, free of charge. Wi-fi was free, available in public areas only. Food was good and price reasonable. Staff was friendly and professional. Overall, at that price it`s a good hotel.

We were for one night in the hotel during a cold and windy storm in march. Thanks to the hotel service for all the helpfull advices. Elvire, the manager, will take care and help you in anything you need, checking other other hotels or taxi for the best price... Big and renovated room with balcony, unbeliveable views of the see... Best choice in byblos.

No reservation at Ahiram and arrived December 28 - hotel full on 31st, so Pascale Assaad and Elvira El Khoury tried to find us accommodation elsewhere, then there was a cancellation, so we stayed. Arranged great taxi driver to Baalbek and found us hotel in Baalbek with rooms. Along with Violette, the most wonderful female staff we met in Middle East. Hotel was still being done up but rooms lovely, some with fabulous sea views, the ones without, bigger. Will go back. and recommend to others. And unlike hotel in Baabek NOT a rip off. Reasonably priced in expensive resort beside the sea, though the beach should be cleared of thousands of plastic bottles

We did stay 10 days in hotel. Staff is very friendly and as we are vegan they were on the service for all our strange wishes. Fantastic view. It is not luxury hotel but exactly what we were looking: to feel like at home. Ask for romantic services: decoration of rose petals on bed... Fantastic New Year party.

I have stayed in this hotel for one night with my partner. The view was magnificant, make sure you ask for a sea view room. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. however, our stay was spoiled by the following things:
1- The beach the hotel claims to own is actually a public beach right next to the hotel. It is not a sandy beach but comprised of sort of large pebbles, with plastic bottles and bags .. with a not so classy crowd swimming and eating around.
2- the next turnoff was the nearby restaurant that kept playing loud arabic music till 2 am in the morning, it was amusing at first to watch, but then it was just ridiculous.
3- the A/C was something from a horror movie .. it kept making weird noises, turning off by itself , shaking and banging as if it was possessed.
4-we woke up to find ants roaming the sink in the bathroom . it wasnt a pretty sight to wake up to.

The hotel has a very nice location, facing the sea, and near the byblos souk and archeological site. However, I recommend you check out the room you intend to stay in before actually paying.

We stayed seven nights at Hotel Ahiram in Byblos, Lebanon. We can highly recommend this very nice and familiar hotel with its friendly and supporting staff. Our room at the fourth floor was newly renovated to a high standard. The breakfast buffe had a nice variety of local food with an "international touch". Ahirams location is perfect, at the beach and close (300 meters) to the old city with the roman ruins, the old market, lot´s of nice restaurants and night clubs.
You can also find well preserved roman ruin as the crusaders castle, the roman theatre etc. at at close distance from Hotel Ahiram.
