A fantastic place with a wonderful staff. Stayed three nights visiting Samburu as our second national park. Elephant Bedroom Camp definitely added a new dimension to our safari in Kenya. The tents were luxurious, nicely decorated, spacious and with in-suite bath as well as our own outside tub on the patio. The service were really good and the food was excellent.
It was exciting with the regular visits by elephants inside the camp. The staff made sure they knew where they were at all times and that the path between our tent and the restaurant/reception were clear. They were not dangerous but it is good to keep some distance anyway.
The drives were really good, we saw a lot of animals and our knowledgeable guide Julius even tracked down a jaguar had not been seen for a while.
Highly recommended - wouldn't have missed it.

Room Tip: We stayed in cabin no. 12 which was the tent farthest away from the reception/restaurant. Great tent but I think all tents were the same. We missed one visit from the elephants though since we stayed a bit far from the common areas. But we could hear and feel them at night as they stroke by the tent.

Fantastic location, great tents! Excellent staff including very knowledgable guides. Food was terrific! We saw elephants, lions and a cheetah across the river from our tent. Spectacular, this was our second trip and was still as great as the first.

We began our safari here and were impressed straight away. Julias was our driver and made sure we had an aweome time. They organsied a sundowner on the river bank and always quick with drinks/food back at the camp. Really enjoyed this place and highly recommend.

We stayed 2 nights. A small camp. There are plenty of elephants walking thru the camp. Very exciting. Great food. Very friendly and helpful staff. The tent cabins were luxurious and well appointed with in-suite bath. A must stay if you enjoy the outdoors

Room Tip: All tents are same. Take any. nearer the reception may be better as you have to walk less. Other than that no real difference.

We stayed 2 nights. . This luxury tented accommodation is situated on the Ewaso Nyiro River. The game in Samburu is reasonable, but nowhere as good as at Lake Nakuru. The staff were helpful, but note that there are elephants within the property at most times. The staff escort you to and from your tent at night. The walk is along a gravel dusty path, and, depending in which tent you are staying, ,can be a long walk. The camp serves three meals per day which are adequate and well presented. We used a private guide for our game tours, and I would suggest to anyone travelling to East Africa, that they do the same. You see so much more, and can ask the driver to take you wherever the best game viewing is that day. The tents face west and get very warm during afternoons. Ceiling fans would make the stay more comfortable.

Room Tip: Ensure your travel agent asks for a tent close to the dining area, and bring a torch.
