This is a quaint place with only 8 rooms. They are comfortable and spotless. There is a fabulous 24 hour market downstairs, as well as two wine shops and two good restaurants. Staying here is a good experience of what it might be like to be a local. As other reviews mention, there is no elevator, and the property has an issue with running out of things--toilet paper, shower gel, water, coffee. This problem is somewhat inexplicable given the easy access to supplies. There is a "night clerk, " which is surprising for such a small property, but she will probably be asleep on the couch until 8 a.m.

I spent three nights at the D'Rami, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They arranged for my airport pickup -- finding the hotel on your own would be almost impossible because although the hotel overlooks a major road, its entrance is around the back. The hotel has been created within the top (third) floor of an apartment building. Everything is modern, clean, and stylish. The staff speak English, are unfailingly friendly, and very helpful. Within an hour of my arrival, I was enjoying a performance at the National Opera House, a 10-minute-walk from D'Rami. The leafy neighbourhood is upmarket residential, and with many cafes and restaurants. Staying at the D'Rami is a wonderful introduction to Almaty.

Cute boutique hotel, centrally located. Super clean, friendly staff. The owner would go out of her way to help you make your stay and day trips perfect. Drivers can be organised. Make sute you print the address for taxi drivers in cyrillic otherwise they dont know the place. Lots of restos in walking distance also all the inner city locations can be walked

The location is great in the center with lot of things around it. Very clean and helpful staff. The price is reasonable compared to other options in the city.

The bed was terrible. It was so uncomfortable I got a terrible night sleep.

The hotel is located at the 3rd floor of a building. No elevator. Not easy to get your bags upstairs but the staff helps you. Rooms are well equiped (fridge, airco, ...). Some are without bathroom.
All comfort is available. The staff does its best to make your stay pleasant.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel.
We appreciated the free airport transfer (free when you stay for at least 3 nights)
The hotel is in a central location. Good place to explore the city on foot. Not far from a subway station. Many restaurants and clubs nearby. We enjoyed breakfast and evening drinks at The Coffee Point. Stay away from Bon Bon at the ground floor under the hotel.
Down the street there's a supermarket open 24/7.
