“A bit over the top”
Reviewed June 13, 2014

This hotel reminded us of places we've stayed in the Emirates - huge room, large marble bathroom with tub, walk-in shower, two sinks, and more. The bed was large and very comfortable with good linen. We appreciated it all since we had just spent a couple of weeks traveling across Central Asia by train so space and comfort and a large bathroom seemed a luxury. Most of all, we loved the balcony (our room was on the top floor) which had a magnificent view of the Tien Shan mountains (since the hotel is on the outskirts of the city it is quite high up and relatively close to the mountains). Staff were pleasant. Our flight left early so we did not have breakfast at the hotel.

It was not the best experience i`ve ever had.
Really big rooms, very nice and tasty food. But when room service trolleys passing your room? you can hear everithing is happening outside.
Breakfast buffet is amazing one. Unbelievable choise of food. and delisious.
Spa is also amazing.
Location is far from center.
Lo Wifi.

Wonderful hotel, with lovely view of the mountain from the room. Nice decor in the hotel, with impressive hallway. Would have 5 star if the room air-condition work. Room temperature is always 23.5C, no matter how low you turn down the temperature. Has to sleep with the windows open. Room is large and clean. Breakfast is reasonable with multiple choices. Beautiful warm indoor pool.

Room Tip: Request mountain view room

I stayed in this hotel for a conference and although it’s quite nice I wasn’t very impressed either.
On the bright side, the rooms are nice and spacious and the bed is of a good quality. Service is sometimes good, sometimes poor. I arrived in the middle of the night and had arranged a pick-up by the hotel which worked well and the check-in process was smooth. However in the morning I was sent in the wrong direction by one of the staff when asking where the breakfast is.

Main weakness is that the internet in the room was basically unavailable for my whole stay, only the wifi in public areas functioned which for a hotel of this supposed quality is simply unacceptable. There were also some pretty big moths in my room when I arrived so spent the first fifteen minutes hunting insects, again not something you’d expect in an upmarket hotel (the roomprice certainly is). Breakfast buffet is worse than many a B&B and coffee awfully weak so overall the hotel needs quite a bit of improvement. I probably will try another hotel when visiting Almaty again.

A good hotel for business stay but a bit far from the city center. It has meeting rooms. The best asset it has is the rooms - they are really huge. Anyone will appreciate that. The bathroom is also very large and has both bath and shower plus a make-up table for women. I was impressed. The floor is electrically warmed. Breakfast is reach enough to fit different tastes. Don't know about the prices as it was paid buy our partners. The staff must learn more about proficiency if serving customers, they need some time to.

Arrived 0500 am and check innwas wuick and friendly in a very nice big area with cristal chandeler in the cealing. Marmor and paintings accompany you to the elevator. Gigantic rooms with extremly nice balcony view to city or to mountsinside. Breakfast is rather a dinner selection of very nice quality but could not find my scramble eggs( will look more closley next time) only 20 min from the hotel is the fsntastic mountain lookout point over the city and mountains. Book this hotel if you are business traveler and want to experience nature instrad of hectic nightlife in the city
