Description: The only Long Island vineyard with a restaurant, serving local North Fork duck, seafood and farm stand vegetables, and our own herbs, served with our own wines from our 20 acre vineyard. Chef Aristodemos Pavlou is a graduate of the L'Ecole Cordon Bleu in Paris. Elegant setting in an 1835 restored rectory, filled with antiques.

Excellent service, great food, incredible wine. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and not overbearing. I've eaten here often. The menu is limited, but everything is exquisitely prepared. The smoked duck, french onion soup, escargot, and the chef-aged steak are all exceptional. Be sure to save room for the chocolate cake; unbelievably decadent and tasty. The sommelier did an outstanding job pairing the wine and food. The wine, vineyard produced, would be much more expensive if purchased off site. I'm a local of the area, there are many outstanding restaurants on the North Fork, Comtesse Therese is consistently one of the best.

We just enjoyed a delicious lunch at this beautiful cottage. We all opted for the excellent 3 course price fix option, and had superb pumpkin soup, melt in the mouth confit of duck and ribs off the bone. the desserts were also divine crepes with ice cream. The cottage is nicely decorated with a mix of historical wine tools and information, as well as some modern painitngs on consignment from a local artist. Will definitely be back for a weekend lunch. Nice memories!!!

our food was ok, but not worth the $180 for 2 price. We did have one bottle and single glass of wine, which still brings the bill to $120 for food not including tip.

Spend the afternoon touring the North Fork wine trail, then head for dinner at this intimate, unassuming French restaurant. The menu is imaginative and supplemented with daily specials. Our party of four enjoyed the steak( dry aged and delicious...and easily large enough to share). I had the LI duck breast which was cooked perfectly...moist and full of flavor (also a large portion). My wife enjoyed the Lamb Shank...fall-off-the-bone tender and delicious. The apple cider and pumpkin soup appetizer was a seasonal special and just outstanding! Deserts are the usual French assortment...the Creme Brulee was especially well done.

Service was very friendly and attentive. Although we were obviously visitors to the area, we were treated as if we were frequent diners.

This restaurant is attached to a winery, and so they serve their own wine selections. The oaked Chardonnay was light and very enjoyable. The Merlot was fruity and complimented the duck perfectly.Their license limits the selection of hard liquor to NY State-produced choices, but the martini drinkers in the crowd were impressed with the Brooklyn Republic Vodka.

Overall, this is a great find and worth a visit.

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and while a bit of a drive form our "home base" it was well worth it. Very friendy service, great food and their own wine made for a very special dinner.
