We stumbled upon this lvoely cafe after exploring the temple across the road. It is upstairs and looks a bit run down from the outisde. The staff were lovely. It has an English menu and very good coffee. We had coffee and cake one visit and returned to eat an early light evening meal - pizza toast and fruit was rather cute. It is not open in the evening. The interior is quaint and cluttered with the most amazing collection of clocks. A lovely respite from exploring.

Recommended by JAL Hotel. Great coffee and service. Had the morning set. I would recommend this but have the jam rather than ham and cheese (as these are processed version).

Marron is a Showa era kissaten (Japanese cafe) with a lot of charm, great food, and excellent coffee. The coffee is roasted on site, and I recommend the Jamaican curry. It's also smoke free, which is a rarity among kissa.

The music sets the tone of this small cafe. If you are middle aged you will recognize all the tunes and take you back to memory lane. The interior is busily decorated with all kinds of toys, wall clocks, knick knacks, etc. The food and coffee...well, did not try the coffee nor the various muffins and cakes so difficult to commemt. However, I went there twice to eat Spaghetti Bolonese (=with meat sauce) because the food may not be gourmet food but it is decent and reminds you of the spaghetti one used to make with tomato ketchup. I did see a lot of young people in their 20s drinking coffee leisurely and totally enjoying various pastries with the drink. The staff is very friendly. This place is not non-smoking.
