This is not exactly the easiest hotel to get to - lots of winding mountain roads. But the food pretty much makes it worth it.
Dinner was kaiseki, good mix of dishes and nothing disappointed. Breakfast is a buffet - mainly Japanese but some Western as well. All very good.
The bath is nice, although the outdoor bath especially seemed a bit shallow.
Rooms are decent (we had a 2-level “Maisonette” style room. The sitting room area could have been nicer. And there was a real lack of electrical outlets, which could have been problematic if I hadn’t brought an extension cord, plus unplugging a lamp and the coffee maker.
WiFi was strong and fast.
Overall very enjoyable and worth staying at. More
