Staffs are most helpful, clean and pleasant environment with good dining discount voucher at the annexed hotel. Location is superb and next to the Kujukushima Aquarium and Cruise Centre. Ample and convenient parking. Highly recommended.

The hotel has recently changed management and is now known as the Kujukushima Bayside Hotel. It is a very well-kept property with a mix of traditional Japanese-style rooms and Western-style rooms. I stayed for 6 nights in one of the Japanese-style rooms and it was very comfortable for me, though I would imagine that not everyone would enjoy the experience of sleeping on mats. The lobby is spacious and a great place to relax. The breakfast buffet is fantastic! The hotel is across the road from the Kujukushima Aquarium and excursion boats, but a bit of a ride from Sasebo itself. My one issue is that booking this hotel is a challenge unless you know Japanese (fortunately, my Japanese friend was able to help me out). Also, there's no WiFi in the guest rooms and it only worked part of the time in the lobby.
