It's a very convenient location for a whole family. So you don't need to walk too far from the JR station with child and elderly.

I’ve lived years in Japan and I’ve never stayed in a Richmond Hotel as I am big chain-aversive. But, I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Japan. It was clean, convenient, and reasonably-priced. The staff was also helpful and friendly.
The remote was bilingual and there was a special programming selection specifically for foreign visitors in the TV menu. There was also a free rental smartphone for foreign visitors to take and use and bring back without being stranded somewhere they’ve never been (I didn’t need to use it, but the thought was nice).
Our booking came with a bottle of local shochu spirit which helped us pass our evening, we also received special amenities of our choice for women. The breakfast buffet was decent and included regional specialties. My favorite part was probably the mango juice.
Location is definitely superb. Just one minute walk outside Miyazaki JR station. Room size is ok. Free coffee available in lobby level. Good receptionist, very helpful. Absolutely a good value for money choice.
This is really close to Miyazaki Station which makes it an ideal location from which to base your exploration of Miyazaki. The accommodations are comfortable and clean. Nothing fancy, but the price and convenience make up for what the hotel lacks in bling. The breakfast buffet is very good and gave us plenty of energy for our forays into Miyazaki City and the outlying areas. Hotel staff are friendly and speak English well. There's a Seven-Eleven next door to the hotel so you can stock the mini-fridge in the room. I'd stay here again.
The hotel is a three minute walk from JR station. The staff did speak English and when booking were both offered extra foot creams , face masks etc from a little tray.
Although you were supposed to be able to get an English Channel on the to it was something we never managed.
There was no leaflets in the hotel in english, the hotel in Kagoshima give information on close restaurants but in english, this would have been a help. The room was as expected but not as nice as Kagoshima.
When we returned back to the room on the second day there was 2 bottles of water, very nice but no idea why. It was only in Fukuoka, that we found out it was because we had asked that the room be given an eco clean.
There is a cafe/restaurant at the hotel but every time, we were thinking of going in ,it was closed.
We booked 4-night via a travel website and we were given 4 bottles of complementary wine when we checked in. Nice surprise!
The hotel offers parking at 500 yens per day which is reasonable. There are plenty of car parks around the hotels but overnight rate applies until at most 8:45 in the morning.
