Our comfort queen room is small compared to the picture online. Apparently the wall next to the bed has been removed digitally to make the room appear larger. Misleading to say the least. The decor of the room is modern and quite pleasing, having been renovated recently. However, the bathroom is still vintage 1980. So stepping into the bathroom is like entering a time capsule. Kind of weird. Did the hotel ran out of money?

Room tip: Book the larger room with two twin beds

Large city centre hotel which seemed to cater for business travellers rather than tourists. Allow about half an hour on the frequent trams that run past the door to get to the main station. Not so much English spoken here as elsewhere as the area is more geared for East Asian tourists rather than Europeans, but we soon identified a few members of staff who could be relied on to be helpful. We had a pleasant and comfortable room on an upper floor with good views of the surrounding hills, and Kumamoto Castle. Room not large, but adequate. Excellent breakfast. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed being at the centre of a vibrant city. Recommended.

Room tip: Ask for an upper room with a view of the castle

The location of this hotel is the main reason why I chose to stay there, and I wasn't disappointed. The service of this hotel is also very good, helping our family with all our luggage once we reached the doorstep. The breakfast at the hotel was also wonderful, with a good variety to choose from. i will definitely choose to stay there again.

There were so many pluses about this hotel. Located right in the middle of Kumamoto food and shopping district, it's also conveniently accessed by numerous buses and tram services. The room we stayed for 3 persons is huge, even the toilet which had a separate shower cum bathtub area from the dressing counter/sink area. It is also partitioned by a glass door so that the shower area is not cold after a bath. I also like the added thought of a multi port USB located beside. Especially when one has multiple devices to charge at the same time. Great overall value for money. The view of the room we stayed overlooks Kumamoto castle!

The hotel is in the center of what you need in Kumamoto.
The bus station to the airport stops next to the hotel, it's a 5 minutes walk to the Kumamoto Palace, and there are a lot of places to have lunch and dinner around the hotel. The rooms are cozy and a Japanese size, so it might seem small to foreigners. However, if you're just staying at the hotel to get a good night sleep and a delicious breakfast, it's a recommendation.
Most of the hotels in Kumamoto will taking parking fees and so does Nikko.
However, the parking is downstairs for Nikko and it's about 1,000yen per night. Not much different as other hotels.

価格は少し高めですが、中心地にあり、空港へのバス停は目の前にあり、
駐車場も地下で利便性高く、商店街、飲食、熊本城など全て徒歩圏内です。
