Perhaps I don't appreciate all of the subtleties of Japanese food, but I find a lot of restaurants to be remarkably similar. This is a nice little place, with excellent service but fairly standard dishes. I frequently judge Japanese restaurants by the quality of their sushi, and this was definitely so-so. The presentation was very nice (and the squid was actually alive!), but the tuna was too firm and fairly flavorless. Other small dishes were pretty much the standard rotation.
I would recommend this restaurant for the service and a nice atmosphere in the private rooms, but the food is only average.
