“Great value, brand new, lots of features.”

A relief from other run down hotels in the same price bracket. Excellent value for money. The rooms are compact but clean and well planned with lots of shelves, nooks and clever spots to put things. The little couch with side table was a nice inclusion.
The onsen on the 13th floor is lovely with a very modern sauna (with big tv and soft towel covered benches and floor), large indoor bath and adjoining open air bath, both 42 degrees. As well as a small cold bath and plenty of wash stations. The massage/spa service next to the onsens looks great too.
The free washing machines were a great feature after 4 weeks on the road!
We haven't tried the restaurant but it looked basic, modern and clean and was full for breakfast.
The beds are comfortable but we needed extra pillows as they are quite flat and hard.
Wifi, some English channels an a local map in English all would have been nice additions but maybe it is a 99% local customer base.

Room Tip: We stayed in a small double. Unlike other hotels we have stayed in where a double room has a queen b...

I loved everything about my short trip to Kagoshima, but this hotel indeed stood out. The exterior looked rather humble but their amenities soon caught me by a pleasant surprise.
The room (standard double) was not spacious but I really didn't mind due to the very clever design. Two of the highlights of my stay were the onsen on the top and the buffet restaurant on the second floor. My boyfriend liked the rather small but super-clean onsen so much that he took bath like three times for only a one-night stay. I was curious about Kagoshima's traditional dishes and the buffet gave me a general picture.

This is a relatively new hotel located on the tram line at the Takamibaba stop or a 15 minute walk from Kagoshima Chuo train station. It is just minutes away from the Tenmonkan - dori covered arcade where there are lots of restaurants. You can also walk to the waterfront for the ferry to Sakurajima. The Olsen on the 13th floor is an added bonus. See our review of Tontoro restaurant which is a short walk from the hotel.

This is a conveniently located hotel just about 6 blocks from the Kagoshima-chuo station. It is modern, with a nice bathroom and comfortable beds. The special part of this hotel is the onsen on the top floor. And there is fantastic body or foot massage available for a fee. We stayed for 3 days as we toured Sakurajima, Ibusuki, and the city itself.
