We went there to celebrate our daughter’s 12th birthday, and for her, Nokonoshima was the best part of the trip!

It was a pleasant ferry ride from Meinohama port, with the cool breeze of spring. Very accessible from Hakata station, just take the Noko Tosenba route.

Once you arrive at Nokonoshima, I highly recommend to take the bus from the port to the park since it’s quite a walk.

The flower beds were a sight! The playground was rustic but solicits absolute fun for the children (and adults too) especially the swing. There are also bunnies and other animals beside the playground which will certainly make the trip more delightful.

It had a very nice view of the neighboring islets, perfect for those who just want to reflect.

This is a great way to take a break from city life and be closer with nature. Highly recommended for the family!

We took the bus from Hakata Station> 10min ferry to cross to the island > island bus to get to the park. Upon arrival, ¥1200per person (Adult) entrance fee.

It was a lovely walk through the cherry blossom trees, tulip garden, pine tress, and a great picture op of the yellow field of flowers. The place is sectioned off by flowers/attractions. They also have accomodation at the island.

There are a few restaurants, we had some udon which cost roughly ¥450each. Not bad for park price. Not much tourist when we visited which was good and relaxing.

If you want to relax and have a little picnic, you can visit the park and just enjoy the beauty of nature.
Entrance fee is ¥1200. Ferry to the Island costs ¥230 and bus going up to the island park is another ¥230. Ferry going to the island has hourly schedule, we took the 1015am to the island and went back by 2PM. Restaurant in the island park is not overpriced. Redbean bun is a must try!

Right now the canola flower field is in full bloom and cherry tress has started to bloom as well. We visited March 23, 2019.

To go to Noko Tosenba ferry, go to Hakata Bus Terminal A and take 300, 301, 302, 304 fare is ¥430 one way.
