“Pleasant hotel on final night in Kyushu”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

We were checked in to this hotel by the tour agency we were travelling with during our 6-days journey of Kyushu. The hotel is situated within 10-minutes walking distance to the adjacent Fukuoka Seahawk Baseball dome and the shopping mall located nearby.
By Japanese hotel rooms standard, it is relatively bigger. One can only find an English BBC Channel amidst all other-Japanese speaking channels.

Room Tip: Request for a sea-facing room which look out to the fukuoka Tower and the surrounding neighbouring i...

Great Christmas decor, definitely felt in the spirit. Stayed on executive level, 31st floor. Nice clean room with great view of city and ocean. Had wonderful sushi for dinner and free breakfast in executive lounge. Breakfast was worth staying executive. Only weird thing is they didn't let me take my half empty bottle of water with me when I was done.

This was a huge conference hotel next to the Fukuoka Yahoo! Dome and Sea Hawk Mall. We had booked a family room through Hilton.com, clearly stating that there were 5 of us. We had problems during check-in because we were told that the booking was only for 2 adults in a family room and the rate we paid was for 2 adults. We had to to top-up to pay for the other 3 people. It was completely absurd ... why would 2 adults want to book a family room??

However, we showed a printout of our reservation and the staff quickly sorted out the problem and honoured our booking. (See my other review on ANA Crowne Plaza Nagasaki when I had an awful check-in experience)

The family room was great with 4 single beds and large for Japan standards. It also had a great view of the Fukuoka tower and the sea. Room was modern, well-equipped and extremely comfortable.

This hotel is not near town so I feel that it will be difficult without a car.

Will definitely come back!

There is NOT wireless in the rooms- hard connection only so come prepared...and the guest wireless signal only works in certain areas of the lower floors... there is only one English channel (BBC) and you have to turn off the Japanese dub (little button on the remote with three dashes on it) Overall very nice and friendly hotel... Oh, the sky bar charges $5.00 table fee...so my sparkling water was 1,300 Yen, rather than 800 Y...but it's nice to go to for the view...

Arrived a day earlier to deal with the long flights; service was impeccable, there wasn't anything that was too much to ask for. Rooms were sizey, lounge areas were very catering, fitness and pool were that of a spa. However, breakfast on the ground floor was set in a congress hall with no windows and seemed like one of those hotels that caters for a delayed flights and shoves all the passengers in the basement, though breakfast was good. Absolutely do not agree with there 'seating' fee for the sky bar; completely ridiculous considering it was empty. We decided to go to the bar on the ground floor instead which I must admit was a bit dark and dark.

The Hilton in Fukuoka is considered a luxurious hotel. However, compared to the other Hilton hotels around the world I have been to (Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Niagara Falls, Frankfurt) this has been the most basic of all.
The room was very small, the bathroom tiny and the wardrobe almost non-existent. The amenities were disappointingly basic. There was no wifi in the room. Everything was just very functional.
The breakfast was quite simple.
The staff, however, was very friendly and helpful.

My room was facing the Fukuoka Tower, and the view was amazing. You could see the water and beach, the mountains, the city - all in one.

Note that finding the lobby can be confusing, as there are two levels at which the hotel can be accessed, and the elevator are a bit hidden.

All in all, the hotel was ok. Next time, I would prefer trying another hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the Fukuoka Tower.

I am job/resident in Nagasaki and some times I like to go in Fukuoka in the weekend for relax and shopping . Last month it was my second stay in Hilton Fukuoka . As a Silver HH , my check in was very fast and because I knew the hotel , I found myself the room . Good room , nice view to Momochi beach and Fukuoka Tower . The problem was that Atrium restaurant was under mentenance , so for dinner I went to Hard Rock Cafe ( very good place ) , close to the hotel . Breakfast was good , but in the ball room , not so nice ambience in the morning . Any way a good trip for weekend and high life in Hilton Fukuoka . I was a litle sad because the chocolate shop opposite Atrium restaurant also closed . So , no " presento " for my wife ..............Arrigato ...........

Room Tip: room 1213 , view to the Hakata bay , Momochi beach , Fukuoka Tower , super
