Stayed at the hotel over the Chinese New Year for 4 days, 3 nights.
LOCATION: Great location. Right next to the Nakasu-Kawabata subway station (exit 3) and a mere 10 minute walk from the vibrant Tenjin shopping and night-life areas.
HOTEL: Clean, free wi-fi in lobby, modern. Restaurant on ground floor.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Probably the only major gripe I had with this hotel (excluding the room size that you can eventually get used to). They spoke very limited English, couldn't offer a receipt, didn't want to provide an extra pillow (only one big and one small one provided) and were overall less friendly than other people on the streets and in stores.
ROOM: SMALL. TINY. MINUTE. But for Japan I guess it is to be expected. Everything you could want was however there except for a closet (only some hangers in front of the mirror) or an in-room safe.
TOILETRIES: Excellent toiletries of high quality with all needs met from shaving blades to ear-buds.
PAYMENT: We made a reservation on-line and while check-in was okay, the hotel could not provide us with a receipt for our stay upon check-out.More
