“Pricey but Location Unbeatable”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Hotel is directly linked to the main terminal via a covered walkway. Check-in is efficient and rooms are clean and comfortable. Nothing beats walking for 5 minutes and being at the check-in counter, especially if you have an early morning flight. The other nearest hotel is across the bridge over Osaka Bay by taxi or shuttle or an hour's train ride to Osaka. So the hassle that is removed by staying in this hotel is already worth the higher room rate.

Book in advance as it is usually full, for obvious reasons.

We had a 15-hour overnight stopover in Kansai. Due to the excellent location we managed to have a great evening out in Namba, very good night sleep and almost a sleep-walk back on the plane in the morning. Great accessibility both to and from the plane in the dry (!), access to city bound trains combined with first class luxury, made our stay a memorable one. Great value for service and convenience. Would highly recommend good room size, very quiet rooms, excellent attendance of staff and no fuss at check out!

I stayed at the hotel after a long-haul flight from Canada with my wife and 10 month old daughter. We had parked our car in their parking lot prior to departing for our flight as there was 15 days of free parking included in our package. Parking alone would have cost about the same as the one night that we stayed at the hotel. I also found upon check-in that guests can check out as late as 6pm which is great information for the next time we decide to use the hotel.

The hotel itself was quite nice. The lobby was roomy enough for an airport hotel, however it is not what you would expect from a typical Nikko hotel. The staff were kind and courteous but seemed a bit programmed in what to say and do, rather than trying to connect with the guests.

The room was quite large considering the location of the hotel. The room was a semi-double but the bed definitely seemed like a queen. It had a smell of cigarettes, and an ashtray in the room when I had asked for a non-smoking room. Ironically enough, there was a non-smoking sign next to the ashtray.

The location was nice and close to the airport. You have to cross a bridge on the 2nd floor to get to the terminals but it was only a 3 minute walk or so.

Overall, not much of a memorable experience, however I will be back again to take advantage of the parking package in the future.

We had a 6:55am flight from KIX, and this hotel is a 5 minute walk to terminal 1. We rolled out of bed at 5:30am and made our flight with lots of time to spare. The hotel is actually located in terminal 2 (but the only airline in T2 is Peach, a discount carrier).

The bed was firm, but not rock hard (just the way we like it) and the bathroom had a full tub/shower combo. The room was the largest of the hotel rooms we had in our trip to Japan (spacious by American standards too). The room had been renovated (looks like in the early 2000s, but was well-maintained -- only the decor choice gave away the time of the renovation).

For dinner, we walked over to Terminal 1 and checked out the food court. The options are reasonably priced and pretty good.

We booked through their website and got a rate of $157 USD (about $50 less than the Orbitz rate for the same property).

Stayed here because my usual flight from nagoya to Helsinki was not available, so had to transfer here (by train) to catch a Helsinki flight.

Arrived at 10pm and it was still possible to get a meal at the first restaurant I found on the 2nd floor. Last service is 10.30pm. But as other people have said, there are some convenience stores in the airport itself (McDonald's is one choice if you're missing western food). If you don't fancy going to one of the restaurants or convenience stores, you can get room service, but at the time I arrived, room service consisted of only 3 choice, none of which were very appealing.

No free wifi, but they do have free Ethernet connectivity, they also said they will introduce free wifi soon.

There is a fridge, but its empty. Room itself is clean and the bed is comfortable.

Only real complaint is the blind at the window, while you can lower it, it's thin, so the light started to shine through and woke me up early (I hadn't noticed that there were some curtains behind the blinds) so make sure you close them before you go to sleep otherwise you might get a earlier wake up that you expected.

we booked our stay online about a month in advance and got it for about a third of the hotel's rack rate. staff was friendly and well prepared for our arrival. we had asked for connecting rooms and everything was set up perfectly, connecting room opened, additional bed in place and beds turned. the hotel offers a variety of restaurants, some of them open until late. it is only a 200m walk from and to the main airport, so completely hassle free. amazingly, the windows in all the rooms are of such good quality that one does not hear a sound from any of the planes taking off close by. definitely worth paying a small premium to stay here if you can not make it to or from Kyoto in time

Room Tip: book early and online

My husband and I decided to stay here the night before our flight back to Europe at 10:30am the next day.

Pros:
- The hotel is the only hotel that is located in/near the Osaka Internation Airport.
- If you have an early flight (anytime before 10:30am) I would suggest staying here. The airport is located on a semi-island and takes some time to get to.
- Rooms are very quite.

Cons:
- The bed. It was one of the worst beds my husnabd and I had ever slept on. It felt like we were sleeping in a wooden board. This is not acceptable in a 4-star hotel.
- I had specifically asked for one large bed but we were given a room with two small beds.
- There is only one English/International channel on the television. While this would normally not bother me, in an airport hotel, this seems ridiculous.
- No free Wifi
- The hotel would benefit from a remodel.
- Our toilet seemed to have a problem with the water filter so my husband had to stop the flow of water during the night. Again, not very acceptable for a 4 star hotel.
- Expensive for what you get.

Room Tip: Only stay here only if you have an early flight. I wouldn't suggest it otherwise.
