Paid AU$120 for a double. This is a decent three-star hotel. Spotlessly clean room. Love the humidifier/ioniser in the room. Decor is somewhat dated, and the bathroom is moulded plastic in a style that evoked thoughts of what hotels in the USSR would have been like. No evidence of previous guests though, which is the most important thing. Don't understand what the whining about the location is for - it's an easy walk to everywhere. You could do worse.

Stayed here at the end of two weeks in Japan. The hotel staff were excellent and went out of there way to sort out a problem we had had with our luggage transfer. The room was comfortable, clean and more than adequate.
breakfast was buffet style, plenty of choice both western and Japanese.
The hotel was next door to the station, JR line. but beware there are two stations in the town, so check which one you are coming into!!!!

Perfect location next to the station, comfortable bed and room, and good value for the money. Their Italian restaurant offered a very good brunch buffet. Wifi was only available in the lobby, which seems standard in Japan. Staff knowledge of English was rather spotty, with only one person fluent.
Nara is only about 30 minutes by train from Kyoto, and the Nikko could be a great location to cover both cities.

Travelling as a couple toward the end of our Japan trip so luggage was building up.
You can see the hotel from the tracks pulling into the station coming from Kyoto.
Although really close to the tracks we couldn't here the trains
Really surprised by the size of the room (double smoking) was much bigger than we expected.
We arrived earlier than check in so our bags were stored until we got back.
Very close to the main road up to see the deer and temples as well as the bus stops to visit some further a field locations.

We were traveling with the four of us. The hotel is located next to the station. We were looking at the map at the exit of the station while the building where the hotel was located within was standing just to the right of us!
The lobby was really grand and lovely decorated. The room is a little small but well maintained and of great quality. The hotel staff was helpful (as usual :)), and we enjoyed our stay very much.
It is not too far from the Nara park and it's next to MOS burger, some nice restaurants and a supermarket. Perfect hotel for travellers!

I've been in nara for the 10000 Lanterns Festival and I chosen this hotel. It was nice, clean and with good personnel. The htoel is just next the train station and from it, you can walk across all the town to see all the temples and parks. The city itself is quite small, but mos tof the temples are u the hill. We did the temple tour twice in a day, in broad daylight and by night during that fantastic festival. I loved Nara and I suggest this town and this hotel too!

Booked this hotel based on the good reviews on trip advisor. Doesn't disappoint. Safe and no surprises kind of experience. Room is big and can accommodate 4 twin size beds for my entire family.
It is located adjacent to the train station where a huge Lawson supermarket and several restaurants are located. There is a superb udon restaurant there that is a must-try.
