“Very good place to stay”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Sorry to write this comment so late.
First of all, I strongly recommend this hostel to everyone. I'd stayed in the dorm for two days. Compared with most of hostels I'd been to, this one is very cozy. I have plenty of space to move around in the room. There's a chair in the room as well, though I'd never used it by myself. However I'm appreciate it.
The owner is very nice. He works on his alone, it's amazing that he can get things done this like. The room was very clean.

However, the basin...to be honest, is way too small. Every time, I washed my face, I had to be very very careful not to mess up the washroom.

Midmay between both JR NARA and Kintetsu station and perfectly located for sightseeing spots and many cafes/restaurants for lunch and dinner. New, clean and perfect for a short stay in NARA. Rooms are small but have everything you need, including western beds and private bathroom. It's off the main street so watch out for the small sign which we missed. I would also recommend staying at least 1 night in NARA. Most seem to do a day trip from KYOTO but it definitely warrants an overnight and there are some nice places to eat and drink.

It's the best hostel I've ever stayed at. It's really clean and comfortable here and the owner is quite nice. It's also within close distance to Kintetsu-Nara station and convenient to reach major sightseeing places in Nara.

Highly recommended. Four of us (mum and 2 other sisters) stayed here for a night with many luggages. The staff is so helpful, he carried them back and forward. He even helped us to park the car at a cheaper car park.
The place is closed to shops and is very clean.
Would stay here again if I go back to Nara.

Highly recommend staying at Iki, it's really close to some great bars and restaurants, the owner will point out all the local gigs.. And best of all, it's really closets the famous Nara Park and is a great leisurely stroll... For the price, you would take this spot over the other overpriced Nara spots for sure.. The Japanese style room was the biggest and most comfortable that we have stayed at in Japan..

Room Tip: The big Buddha and the deer in the park make Nara an awesome one night stop.. It's also a great...

I stayed this guesthouse with my wife for just one night. But really enjoy staying.

The owner Kobayashi-san is really nice guy and reliable person. He provided us very much information about public bath and local restaurant.

The room is so new and clean. We have private shower room and warm bed. We slept very well.

The location is very center of this area. You can get any main visiting point around here on foot. And there are many local restaurant around here.

We didn't use but the have common kitchen and rental bicycle.

I definitely recommend any person who plan to travel Nara and We definitely revisit here again.

We only spent one night here as part of our trip to Japan and Korea, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The guesthouse rooms are traditional tatami mat rooms with futons to roll out and sleep on. Simplistic in style but very cosy and comfortable. The backroom is modern and clean.

The location is fantastic. A short walk to the JR Nara station, and a 2 minute walk from the main shopping street in Nara. It is extremely close to the stunning temples and gardens of Nara, which itself is a fantastic place to visit.

The owner was also incredibly friendly and helpful. A little tip - ask him for directions to the local Shabu Shabu restaurant, which is incredibly good and about half the price you usually pay for good Shabu Shabu in Japan.
