This hotel was well situated not far from the main station and metres from the main, pedestrian, shops/restaurants street (which in turn leads to the main tourist attractions).
The staff were extremely polite and very helpful, we were able to leave our luggage as we arrived to early to check in and it was in our rooms when we returned.
We (husband, me and two teenage sons) had two rooms on the 4th floor next to each other though not interconnected. The rooms were at first glance unusual and reminded us of cabins on ships but they were spacious, very comfortable and quiet. The odd little bathrooms had showers over half baths and were raised above the bedroom floor. Tiny though they were they were perfectly functional although my husband (6ft 3in) only fit in the shower with a slightly bent head!
The breakfast buffet was good though none of us braved the “tea gruel” which is apparently a specialty of Nara!
We only stayed one night here but I recommend it to anyone wanting a base in Nara which we enjoyed visiting very much.More
