The location is great, as it's right by the train station.
The rooms are very dated and old, although clean.
Not much else, but not any high expectations here, just somewhat convenience
due to proximity to train station.

My room was nothing like the photos on this Tripadvisor posting. It's a shame as the lady on check in was very helpful & the buffet breakfast was also very nice. My room though was very old, worn & out dated although seemed clean. The bathroom was fifthly though (photos attached of how it was on arrival). Dirty unwashed walls for which there is no excuse on tiled walls & totally out dated equipment. There was nothing they could do about it apparently.
I also used the foyer cafe, the tables & chairs of which are also very old & worn out but the food was OK. I didn't use the hotel restaurants as no one was very helpful & the man standing outside the Chinese restaurant was continually loudly sniffing which put me off even asking for info.
Being right outside the station it's well located and ensure you walk to the castle through the covered arcade which parallels the road as it's very interesting & you'll find somewhere else to eat.

Room tip: Ask if the room has been renovated

Confortable position,amd very good service. We stayed only one night in this property but we enjoyed it very much. The room is bigger than standard japanese rooms in other hotels, and bathroom the same. Breakfast quality is above level as it offers a good compromise from japanese style to western. Very very good.

Very clean . Helpful staff. perfect location. I only gave it 3 stars because I booked this hotel for the gym and pool. But even though i was staying at the hotel I still had to pay 1500 yen for the pool, this information was not given when booking the hotel . Which was not a big deal but little disappointing . My daughter wanted to go to the pool so i asked since there was only 30 min left before they closed the pool if we could have a discount. But the staff told us we would have to pay the full amount . We did . And they did kick us out after 30 min . This was disappointing . Its my first time to ever stay at a hotel with gym and pool but still have to pay . My suggestion to the Hotel is to please put this information on their booking as it is very misleading .

The proximity to the station, castle and main shopping area was excellent. The 14th floor and above on the station side had views of the castle (lit every night). The staff very very polite and welcoming.

While a good size the room was very old and tired. The quality of the property didn’t justify the high price. I guess in its prime this would have been considered high end but those days are long gone on the fourteenth floor.
