We took the bus from lake chuzenji all the way to the last station and there's a tourist information center. The people at the information center are very helpful is guiding us to hike all the down to the waterfall.

Once you reached Yutaki waterfalls, there's a long staircase down which you need to get down. It is advisable to get a walking sticking if you do not have strong legs. You will find a simple ramen restaurant. Just slow down and have a nice meal.

It is nice to come over during autumn. Somewhat romantic and weather cooling.

Will sure come again for more hiking soon.

We started off at Yunoko and thus Yudaki was the first waterfall we encountered. It is a picturesque waterfall and the area has a nice rest stop with restaurants serving traditional Japanese foods.

I was surprised at how impressive and beautiful the falls are. We were there as part of a hike from Lake Yunoko to Ryuzu Falls. The is a great place to have lunch (early or late depending on your direction) and just enjoy the falls.

Yudaki, not Yutaki, Falls is one of my all-time favorite sites in the Nikko area. The site is accessed by car, bus, or taxi from the Lake Chuzenji area. The parking fee is minimal and there is no entrance fee to the waterfall. From the parking lot it is a short walk to the base of the fall where there is an observation deck. In my opinion, a visitor should first climb the many switchback stairs to the top of the falls before going to the observation deck back at the bottom. At the top is Yunoko Lake where you will find several fishermen and excellent trails surrounding the lake. Take a walk at least partially around the lake to see the scenery and then decend the stairs. While looking at the base of the falls, some say visitors can see the image of a man emerging from the water. My kids took their shoes off and waded in the water at the base of the falls for a few minutes. Additional trails extend to the scenic woods. There is a restaurant, of mediocre quality, but very convenient. Also, a souvenir shop is waiting for your money too. The staff is very friendly and welcoming to foreigners.
