This one of a couple of picturesque temples in Chinatown. It will attract your camera. It is located a short, 5-minute, walk from our hotel (Rose Yokohama). There are many shops and almost countless places to eat in Chinatown.

This is a very crowded place, filled with locals and tourists. Great place to take pictures of the colorful temple.

The temple lies in Yokohama China town where a lot of Chinese flew in from the end of 19th century and began dwelling here. This temple was built by them for their worship for Tao which was normally unfamiliar to Japanese. So, this type of temple is rare in Japan, the reason of which is worth visiting here. The site is not big nor the building huge, but kept well and clean. I have visited several times, this time, in the midst of Chinese New Year, so a large munber of worshippers came and made pray.Traffic access is convenient, two stations are available as JR Kannai Station and Motomachi- Chukagai Station of Minatomirai Line, from either of the station, it takes around 10 minutes.Very interesting for persons being interested in Chinese traditional cultures.

I went there in November and there is very crowded...but I like this place because there is a place where you can know your fortune and it may be correct...very nice place and there are so many food stalls and small items selling shops but things are bit expensive but you can buy beautiful Japanese umbrellas from there..Love this place
