We stayed at Camelot Hotel for a week in January 2011. Our main purpose of the trip was to visit friends and family in Yokohama and Tokyo. We were recommended to stay at the hotel by Japanese friends because of the convenient location near Yokohama station, so that it was easy for friends to come to visit us and for us to get around. The location was very convenient, and you could easily get to the station within 5 minutes by walking through an underground shopping mall. From the station it was only 2 stops to lovely harbor, and the landmark tower with great views. There was many small restaurants and cafes nearby, and also grocery stores.
The hotel itself was more than ok, the room was nice and clean with all amenities. We stayed in a double room, but very small, especially with a baby cot. Since we were out and about all day and did not spend much time in the room it was not really a problem for us, but if we would have to spend more time in the room I would gladly paid more to get a bigger room.
We did not have the breakfast included in the price so never tried the buffet, but we tried 2 of the restaurants in the hotel, and food was good.
The hotel provided cables for free internet.
Staff were friendly but had limited English knowledge. They stored our luggage for free for one night when we went to Kyoto for an overnight trip.
