“Good roller coaster and Ferris wheel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2013

If you go to Yokohama, it is almost impossible not to see the Cosmo wheel, iris the largest in the world. We took a ride at night and the view was spectacular. Well worth the entrance fee. The roller coasters are good, one even goes underground! But in reality it is just another space filled with amusement rides. Good fun, but not really uniquely Japanese.

“Great park in a stunning location (at night)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

Having spent a fortune at Disneyland only to end up on just two rides, due to crazy queues or kids lack of interest. I like the fact at this park you can just walk in for free and if the kid likes a ride just grab a ticket on hop on.

We are trying to book the hotel nearby for our next trip.

The day we went it was some sort of summer fireworks festival and most of the people were all dolled up in traditional outfits which added to the great overall atmosphere.

It's a small park but at night it really stands out.

“Nice place geared toward young kids”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

Cosmo World is a very nice theme park located a couple blocks from the Yokohama train station and the Pacifico Yokohama Convention Center. It is definitely geared toward young children. My son is a coaster enthusiast and really wanted to try the Diving Roller Coaster (You can see video of the coaster on You Tube). While most of the rides were just too small for my kids we did enjoy the log ride, the giant air conditioned Ferris wheel which offers great views of Yokohama and of course the Diving roller coaster. The diving roller coaster was not as exciting as it appeared on You Tube and the end loop around was really fast and almost made me pass out but, we were glad to have the opportunity to try it. Overall a nice theme park especially for children 1-10 years old. There are no entry fees and you just pay per ride so even if you just want to take a nice walk through here it is not a bad idea. The Ferris Wheel really gives you a great view of the city and the bay and can be helpful deciding where to go next while you are in Yokohama. If you do decide to visit between now and September 16 it would also be good to check out the Yuka (Woolly Mammoth Exhibit) at the Pacifico Yokohama Convention Center which is only a couple of blocks away. It was a wonderful exhibit and well worth the ticket.

“Small Average Park, Pay as You Go, Expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

Even you are out in the Yokohama area and want to spend some time on a few rides, then this place is pretty good. The good side is that you only pay for the rides you want to ride. The downside is you have to pay for each ride you want, which can get expensive if you want to ride a lot.
It is best to go during the evening hours, as the atmosphere is a bit nicer with all the lights next to the water and Landmark Tower.
There is plenty of food and drinks at the park, as well as the surrounding areas across the street. There is a mixture of rides for small children to adults. Plenty of outdoor seating, so if you want to bring food in, that is an option. In fact the entrance fee is free, just pay for riding. In the end it is good for a couple hours, but be careful as it could get pricey.
