In November of this past year, my wife and I stayed at this hotel for my Japanese friends wedding. The wedding and reception actually took place in this hotel and it was great! It was our first time visiting an Asian country and we fell in love. The people were so nice and were forgiving of out terrible attempts to speak Japanese. While there we walked around and explored on our own. The only thing we were upset about was the shopping. The hotel is surrounded by three malls, but the malls were very Americanized. Unfortunately, to buy Japanese items, you need to visit tourist attractions.
Anyway, everything was so clean and convenient. We hopped on the train and went to Kamakura (which I highly recommend)! We also visited China town in Yokohama and we went to Tokyo (and of course had to stop by the Hooters there). It was very nice to actually know people to show us around. We would have had no idea how to get anywhere without them.
My tip to anyone who plans to go, definitely plan to visit other areas. It is really not that hard if it is your first time. We found that when we were left to fend for ourselves, it got rather boring just visiting the stores around the hotel. Definitely visit "Cosmo World". Cosmo World is the amusement park with the ferris wheel. They have other rides, a couple of Japanese haunted houses, and mirror maze (this was a lot of fun). Great place to visit and I am sure that we will go back one day.

A good, modern hotel with all the amenities you would expect, well furnished rooms with spectacular views of the City (I was on the 58th floor). Situated in a good area of Yokohama with plenty of shops and restaurants in the shopping centre at the base of the Landmark tower. The only thing I could complain about was the lack of wireless in the hotel, there was wired access in the rooms....but still. I would recommend this place and will happily visit again.

Stayed here for the second time in twelve months and the first time I thought it was a good hotel for Japan with some of the usual hang ups. The second time.... exactly the same. The good things about this place are the large rooms (for Japan), the view (excellent), and the location for shopping / eating etc. Things that let them down in my opinion are the pillows are shocking.... nothing more than puffed up pillow cases that deflate at the slightest touch. The TV channels are poor (CNN / BBC and that was it for English) and it would have been nice to have a complimentary bottle of water in the room so that everytime you wanted a drink you didn't have to open another US$10 bottle of Evian from the minibar. But, if those aren't the kind of things that would annoy you, and let's face it, they're easily fixed, then this is a good choice. Even I know I will be back....

I stayed here 3 nights for business. It is located on the upper floors of the landmark tower, and on a clear day (typically in winter) you can even see mount Fuji. The lobby is nice. The rooms are great, very large, quiet and comfortable. There are hotels that are better located though with regard to access to public transportation, such as the Yokohama Sheraton and the Intercontinental Minatomirai.

We live about 40 minutes by train, but we always enjoy to stay there once or twice every year. It is romantic and in a great location, since we love to ride the Clock Wheel and eating at La Salsa (mexican restaurant at World Porters). Just genial, Hotel Guestrooms starts at 50th floor, big western style rooms, the best are the top of the towe, where you can take the best buffet breakfast you can imagine, and on the night drink something while listen music alive. If you are lucky and is not a cloudy day, from the top of the tower you can admire the beauty of the Fuji San
